We've beaten these twice with a back 3/5, I don't usually advocate it but we have to get Kel and Vardy up top together and still compete in midfield. Dilemma.

I imagine the team we face will be stronger than either of the teams we faced and beat last season. So probably take the results with a slight pinch of salt.

Jeez, I'd take 1-1 no questions.

Some games, I just fear. ManU have some players in that squad, players than could individually sink us, let alone as a team. My only salvation thought is that OGS doesn't seem to be able to consistently pick the right ones and put them together in a way that works.  Even so, reckon I'd sign up now for 1-1.

Said in the Rodgers thread but I reckon we're in for a humiliating day.

Players off form.

Manager distracted.

General air of negative feeling amongst a lot of fans.

Reckon it could turn quite toxic if we don't play well and ultimately lose.

Hopefully he's given all the non internationals 10 days off. They're being over coached in to boredom and suffocation. I'd not get them train for the rest of the year, just turn up to matches filled with HATE for the opposition and a good bond with the other players as they spend their week on the piss together. We'd win more than 2 every 7 games.

Come on now! Positivity.

We've had a break, which couldn't have come at a better time.

Look at how far we've come, it can't be humiliating.

Afterall, they're without their first choice CB's..

Play our game, keep hold of the ball and I have full confidence.....

...no reason why he shouldn't be looking to go down this route!!!

The way we fade in the second half of seasons, why can't we just play ourselves into form, it has been done before.

Surely if they are without there two first choice CB's Vardy and Nacho have to start

The defence is the obvious concern. Seen on here people looking to put Castagne at LB, but that really doesn't suit him. Same with Ricardo if put him there. I would rather Thomas got the nod if playing back 4. As for Bertrand I would roll him out in the league Cup and maybe some game time on Thursday nights but he is very much back up for me in the league.

Of course they do, they are Man Utd, one of the biggest clubs in the world. We could hang on to a 1-0 lead for 92 minutes and still lose 1-2 to a Ronaldo goal and dodgy penalty.

The fact we are even discussing how to beat them rather than how to not escape with a 4-0 drubbing is great.

I hope Rodgers work's it out, he's been handed a real shit sandwich with injuries to key players at the start of the season. The defense is crocked without Evans, Fofana is a massive miss, the midfield doubly so without Ndidi, and Maddison seems to have foresaken professional football in favour of his social media account and generally runs away from the ball. On top of that Kasper has started inexplicably punting the ball straight to the opposition wingers.

Hopefully Brendan has some kind of idea how to work it all out, and if not, we still have Vardy who is odds-on to score despite being a few months from his bus pass.

100 Mill on the new training facility would be money well spent 😕

Can't work out whether I'd rather Evans be fit and not get injured quickly again vs Man Utd or Spartak. I know you could argue that if he comes through the Man Utd game then he could then play next Thursday but I'd not risk that and next Thursdays game is an absolute must win.

The Spartak game is on Wednesday.
