Legia Warsaw (H) Pre-match / Thu 25-Nov / KO 20:00

Kasper

Castagne Amartey Evans Thomas

       Ndidi

Lookman Maddison (KDH or Barnes)

     Daka Nacho

I think KDH deserves a go but Barnes is a potential outlet for us. He's just not in form for me though.

I cant have Perez for his performances and I wouldn't have Cags sadly unless Johnny is struggling. Verstergaard and Bertrand have been seriously disappointing and that's saying something considering most of the team have been off all season. I'd rest Soumare as he's been looking laboured and Vardy won't play unless we are in serious need with 20 minutes left.

Praying for a win to be honest

Can't help but feel it'll be the last time we'll see our club (at home) in Europe for quite a while.

Actually a good point I’d not considered.

I am seriously considering whether or not I want to drive all the way from Kent to Leicester on a Thursday after work for this shit.

Because I’m feeling very much this. Thursday is online gaming night with a crate of beer, mates, some pizza and a lot of laughs.

Do I really want to drive up, pay for parking, get frozen, suffer the morons who sit next to me, internally rage at the negative play, and quietly mock the pre-match flames? I’m not sure I do.

And miss out on a thrilling 1-1 draw?

I’ll only miss 0-1 as I’d be leaving 10 minutes into the second half to avoid the inevitable rush for the car park.

So sad but I feel the same. Living in London I don't get to see us live that much and never have done but these 3 games will have cost me over £300 and the complete lack of desire against Spartak makes me think is I worth it? Getting back at 1.30 in the morning to work after you've just wasted your evening is not fun.

I've not really seen any of this except his recent goal?

2nd half vs Arsenal both him and Lookman created a lot of attacks but yeah it's hardly been vintage from any of our squad recently 😂

What would help us , would be Rodgers coming out before the game and declare Iam staying with the foxes and I will not be going to United . That would be a great first step .

As a man who doesn't like to burn his bridges, Rodgers would never rule out Colchester.

I wish we had Marcin Wieseleski and Robert Huth still available for Thursday, we'd have some semblance of steel on the pitch, which we are sadly lacking.

Jonny Evans is easily as effective but since his injury last season he hasn't been the same. We need to buy proven talent in January otherwise we could go down.

Castagne may be a reasonably competent cover left fullback but he's certainly no wing back and neither is Ricardo. How many times do we have to watch them to realise this? That's in no way meant to be disrespectful to either because they are both excellent fullbacks capable of running from deep and causing the opposition huge problems. Wing back is a very specialised position and there's not too many about. Without decent wingbacks the 3 at the back is quite pointless.

Ricardo is more a wing back than a full back, not sure what you have been watching for the last 2/3 years

..  can you imagine the amount of booing that his statement would illicit from the stands!!!

There would be mass walk outs and impromptu demonstrations right there on the pitch.

It would be best if he kept his head down and concentrate on winning the game.

If his meeting prior to the last game gave us the performance we all saw, then it would  be best to keep certain things to himself.

I think he should be talking to his team on how they would like to play, and in this game dropping Wilf, might be an option to give us more punch further up.

Ricardo amartey Evans castagne

Ndidi kdh

Albrighton Maddison lookman

Daka

Ricardo and sharky link up very well almost always, lookman and amartey did their best last game as well and soumare was awful. Playing ndidi and boubakary together is too defensive imo. Maddison deserves to play. Need his creation

Funny, I actually found myself thinking about Wasyl watching the mess against Chelsea. Really mourning the lack of that sort of hardness in the squad. The first half in particular was crying out for some blood and thunder, someone to clear out Havertz as close to legally as possible to lift the crowd and the team.

4-5-1 I’d go for this one

                Kasper

castagne  evans  cags  bertrand

               Wilf

                       Soumare/KDH

perez       Maddison      Barnes

                   Daka

Harsh on iheanacho but daka deserves more game time and needs it for development/morale. Bertrands questionable but what’s the point in even having him in the squad if you aren’t gona use him at all or keep him match fit?  Luke dosen’t quite seem ready for me and I think when JJ is fit again he goes out on loan.

Really? So when he's had players like Albrighton, Perez, Diabate, Gray, Ghezzal and Under etc running about in front of him in the past since he's been here, what were they up to? Just because you've seen him played or been used in that position doesn't mean he is one. He's a very good fullback who is devastatingly good when running at a defence from deep. He had to work hard on the defensive side of his game and visit the gym to help him adapt to the pace and physicality of our game as a fullback (these are his words in interview by the way).

When played as a wing back he's neither got the explosive turn of pace from a standing start, dribbling or other ability to consistently beat his man. In his very early career at a lower level I believe he had a spell as a winger, there's a reason he isn't still a winger. Likewise, Luke Thomas used to play as a forward but we're not considering replacing Vardy with him. A number of former, but not up to standard wingers or midfielders try and convert to wingbacks, some are good, some not too good. I'd suggest Ricardo is the latter but until his injury, was one of the best at what he does in the Premiership. That isn't to say that he doesn't do his best when asked like Castagne to fulfil that role in Rodgers flawed 3 at the back system, but neither of them are wing backs. The team we played at the weekend are a good model to advertise how a 3 at the back wingbacks system should be played I suggest.

Yeah maybe, but from someone who doesn’t have a track record of going against their word.
