Played this formation with Leicester on FM and had resounding success so it's got to be the way forward imo.

All out attack.

Still struggling with the amount of love KDH gets on here.

I don’t think he’s atrocious - covid has affected him. I expect he’ll pick up from his pre season form soon

I hope so, as I always thought he was decent at Southampton. He was so bad against Spartak though. To be fair, he's not the only one to put in some hideous performances this season.

Do we know where priorities lay for Polish clubs and Legia in particular? Is the Europa League a big thing for them? I guess it is as they win most domestic trophies, I think.

They will probably give it everything tonight which is a concern given the form we are in. Perhaps a disservice calling this a banana skin match but it might well be.

I don't think it matters how much they are up for it, it's whether we are up for it. If we play to our full potential we will win comfortably. If we play like we have for most of the games so far this season, it could be a very frustrating evening similar to the Spartak home game.

I'm pretty confident if we play a sensible back 4 we'll win this. It's when we start pissing around with extra defenders despite the lack of attacking quality it gives us that we start levelling the game up. It's why we drew with Spartak and lost to these before.

What works better against a low block, clogging the centre of the pitch and have 2 strikers or provide width but maybe with only 1 central striker?

I can't remember how strong Legia were in the middle of the park but I'd be tempted with 4-4-2 with Daka and Iheanacho up front with Barnes and Lookman out wide, although I imagine Perez is starting.

      Daka - Vardy - Iheanacho

Barnes - Maddison - Perez - Lookman

                     Ndidi

           Soyuncu - Evans

We might not win, but it sure as hell wouldn't be boring.

The more natural goal scorers on the pitch sounds like a solid plan to me , nacho has to be in there surely

...long covid is something that holds you back!!!

It is hard to comeback as you were before, recovery is unpredictable.

If we are struggling for whatever reason, we have nacho and vardy ready to save the day.

I should just about have time to finish watching this before sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner with the wife and the complete set of in-laws.

There will be more than one turkey in that room as it is.  I don’t need the guys in blue and white playing like turkeys ruining my mood.

MAKE US THANKFUL, CITY!

This is such an important game. If we would have performed in our previous matches, then we might have been able to rest players tonight. Unfortunately,  we didn't, and a win tonight is vital.

I'd go with our strongest line up.

Yes we are pretty atrocious at the minute, but if we can some how scrape our way out of this group, there's every chance our form gets back on track and when it does, there's absolutely no reason we can't win the whole tournament.

It seems so out of reach currently due to our bad form, but form can change so quickly as we have seen for the third consecutive season under Brendan.

Decided to miss this one and watch from home as I am just a bit overwhelmed with work and things at the moment, and so taking a half day to go to the match and then getting back after midnight didn't seem the best way to resolve that. Of course this now means we will throw out our best performance in weeks with a goal scoring bonanza and I will be kicking myself for not being there (you can thank me later!).

Mad to think we can still top the group after what feels like quite a lacklustre effort so far.

I'm.missing this due to covid and would normally be under the impression it will be an amazingly fantastic team effort with amazing atmosphere and 90 minutes of non stop roaring by the blue army.

I'm old enough now to realise that this wont happen and at best we will scrape a draw as recent performances do not make me believe we can things around just like that.

I will also avoid the match day thread...

Please don't be a back three tonight. We don't need 5 defenders on the pitch.

I also think that without a fit Ricardo we can't play with wing-backs. We don't have anyone else who can replace him that offers any sort of attacking threat and can get up and down the line.

Hope you are okay and it’s just general worn-down-ness??
