Vardy and Iheanacho are well on their way to being horribly out of form. Perez has been highly wasteful the majority of his appearances and we know our defensive issues.

 

The only modicum of good football has come from Barnes and Lookman in recent games, so I hope he plays them either side of Daka with a midfield 3 of Ndidi, KDH and Maddison.

 

The defence, as long as it doesn't contain Vestergaard and Bertrand is as good as we can expect right now but at least it ought not to be any worse.

 

If we still somehow fail to win then that's us for the season. Suspend all of them and play the U18 and U23 team.

I've not really seen any of this except his recent goal?

It will be a back four with Barnes and Lookman wide with Vardy and Nacho upfront and a high line. It will be pressure all the way, high tempo, it will be relentless.

Definitely need to play 4 at the back. I would like to get both Maddison and Iheanacho in the team but feel it can be only one or the other. Daka starts up front for me.

Whatever the lineup, can we just have some determination and character please. Some focus, energy and a will to win. Not too much to ask, is it.

Lookman was about the only player that was looking to create something, they weren't the problem but the managers arrogance meant he refused to see it was a formation issue

....we were so over run at the back, there was not much chance of any decent service!!!

If we cant get hold of the ball, then we cannot adequately attack effectively and that is how it turned out.

Why did this make me laugh when I first looked at it? I see the formation now but at first it looked like this:

I think they have been just as average as everyone else.

Castagne may be a reasonably competent cover left fullback but he's certainly no wing back and neither is Ricardo. How many times do we have to watch them to realise this? That's in no way meant to be disrespectful to either because they are both excellent fullbacks capable of running from deep and causing the opposition huge problems. Wing back is a very specialised position and there's not too many about. Without decent wingbacks the 3 at the back is quite pointless.
