Are we allowed to beat these guys? Don’t want to over achieve or anything. 👀

Savage mentioned this over achieving thing last night as if it hadn't been said previously. He then revised it later to enlighten us again with his original expert knowledge.

It almost feels like a delusions of grandeur throwback.

Soumare better get practising interval training. If he continually canters around out of poesssion, not tracking runners, we’ve got a problem.

Numerous times where Wilf was trying to do his job as well and we just got outnumbered.

Id almost advocate KDH - just felt more balanced with him there

To be honest Wilf was not much better than Soumare, though a little quicker (not difficult) and his passing was bloody awful. He seems to have regressed or at least not recovered after injury.

Two wins on the bounce mate?  Apparently we should know our place and EVERY success we’ve had recently has been over achievement.

Anyway. Let’s all over achieve together against Watford. Welcome back the pizza man and celebrate another over achievement. Then we can over achieve in the match and win it. That would be nice.

                     Schmeichel

Castagne - Evans - Söyüncü - Thomas

      Madders  -  Ndidi  -  KDH

    Perez     -     Vardy     -     Barnes

Hopefully new manager bounce over, let’s have them.

....that could work with this personnel and the formation effectively becomes 4-1-2-3!!!

With KDH box to box and Madders creating it looks pretty balanced. So long as we are pressing from the front and attempt to track back, we should be ok.

I thought the midfield worked just about okay against Warsaw, I’d say that’s the middle that will start for this game.

Maddison seemed to understand his role better, but as has been pointed out Soumare needs to have a think about where he needs to improve, but I’m confident he’ll work his shit out.

Hopefully Evans is back for this and even if he’s not, a back 4 should remain.

Considering the position fill at Man Utd appears complete, hopefully any speculation amongst the players has passed and Rodgers plans can be completely believed in.

I wonder if he can move to a higher level of decision making now? For me, this would be to start Daka for a prem game, let’s properly start the Vardy succession plan now, big call, but he just may be in the right position now.
JV coming on as a sub is still a killer party!!

Expect the same team as today except for Vardy and Evans in for Daka and Big Dan respectively. That said, RW continues to be a problem position. Perez is better as a 10, Albrighton is definitely past his prime for all of his undoubted effort and, for me, Lookman is not really an improvement on either. He had a couple of good games early on for us, but, as throughout his career, he's never really delivered consistently and today I thought he was poor. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'd be tempted to select Perez at RW on Sunday. He looked sharp tonight and against a team likely to sit deep he might be the best option, even if I don't say that with any real confidence.

so you watch a 10 minute cameo of Albrighton and come to the conclusion he is definitely past his prime?  A man who always gives 110 per cent and wears his heart on his sleeve.  Never mind Lookman was bloody woeful and couldnt trap a bag of cement.

Albrighton is past his prime, so is Vardy. That isn't even a debate surely? How can they not be?

Doesn't mean they can't be effective still but players age, fitness and speed drops, decision making can slow. It happens.

I was with you until the last couple of sentences... lol

And if Perez starts, it most definitely shouldn't be at RW.

Actually gives the right back more support than Lookman.

That would be my 11 but maybe slightly different formation.

No Sarr for Watford

Weirdly we have actually scored 6 goals in recent games after he has gone off but naturally a blow and potentially could be a long term injury .

The other guy has looked pretty solid in 2 tough games making Cathcart look half decent so again a big miss as the back ups aren’t great particularly with someone like Vardy sniffing around.

Anyway you’ll win - be classic Watford to back up a great win (even if Man U aren’t what they once were ) with a defeat and disappointing performance.

Reckon we might need a play off to see who scoops that particular accolade

I'd go with the same formation as the Legia game, but I have a few selection dilemmas:

Centre backs: Evans comes back in, but there isn't much between Soyuncu and Amartey at the moment. I'd probably go CS in a four.

Full backs: Probably Castagne and Thomas again, but Castagne is an option on the left and Amartey on the right. Does Bertrand factor into our thinking at all? Probably not.

Midfield: Not overly convinced by Soumare or KDH yet at this level. Who to pick? Does KDH deserve a start?

Wide Right: I'd go for Ayoze over Lookman. Not APs best position, but I'm just not sure about AL.

So .....

Schmeichel

Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu, Thomas

N'didi, KDH

Maddison

Perez, Vardy, Barnes

But I'd have difficulty making an argument against someone who went for a different combination of those listed above.

What a surprise- he's desperate to knock us from having any ambition.

Hope Ranieri gets a good reception before the game and then we perform. Need a performance and result in the league badly.

Always considered our head to heads against Watford a case of 'we'll win the home game and they'll win the away game' and the record pretty much backs that up.

Expect the same Sunday, 2-1 for me.

How? By repeatedly falling over and/or losing the ball?

We’ve seen a zillion times he’s much less effective out wide, running around without being productive.
