I hadn’t heard anything about Fuchs. I doubt he could have had much objection to CF on a free

ref Kante :  it took some time for Walsh to convince him to agree to it. Walsh is on record as badgering him daily to give it the green light.

Fuchs had signed after speaking to Pearson according to fuchs. He just didn't get to meet him lol

Yes he did I totally agree and then he locked it and nearly took us down as he really isant a good manager. But he did give us the greatest season ever.

Whoever this guy is must be a decent manager. I hear he improved on every season with Chelsea, broke club records and took them to the Champions League final. Also finished 2nd place with Monaco the season after promotion.

Our third proper 6 pointer relegation battle of the season, not been quite like this since the Summer of 2015.

It’s definitely a 6 pointer, given where we are and Watford are

I think it’s a big game tomorrow personally. We lose tomorrow and our confidence really could be shot

Big game no doubt

I’m pretty sure this game is usually a home win. Can’t remember the last time in this fixture the away team won!

Having said that, both teams have been a mixed bag of late - Watford have turned over Man Utd and Everton, been thumped by Liverpool and lost to Southampton and Arsenal. There last 5 they’ve scored 9 and conceded 10, not too dissimilar to us, with good wins over Brentford and Man Utd and defeat to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Could go anyway, I am really hoping Madders starts, he is a massive confidence player and after his goal mid week, I expect him to play a big part.

I’m  going 3 - 1 win, Madders, Vardy and big Dan with the goals.

He really isn't a good manager??

It depends who you're comparing him to, but he really is. Remember that in Italian football, managers can tend to last even less than here and if you look at the facts behind some of his jobs in Italy, quite often he's gone in and turned things round.

I think you'll find that he's done and achieved a lot more than the likes of any of our previous managers in recent times including our current one. There is no way Rodgers would have had the vision and talent to win the Premiership with the squad Ranieri had for example.

...you would have effectively, Nacho dropping into the #10 position and Maddison playing as a #8!!!

With Daka up alongside Vardy, there us the tendency for Vardy to become the supplier as opposed to the predator on the shoulder of the last defender.

With these two situations of players who naturally would drop into other players positions it makes this formation unbalanced.

It is a sensation front 3.. trouble is as soon as the floodlights are switched on they'd go missing.

Hope Claudio gets the welcome he deserves before the game. Whatever happened the following season he gave us the best year of any of our City supporting lives. And yes I'm firmly of the belief that he inherited an unbelievable set up from Pearson but he still added so much to make the league win possible.

As for the game I'm a bit worried. They play with so much energy and our players look half asleep most of the time. I'd like to see us really out a team to the sword sooner or later but even more importantly I want to see some signs that we're learning from our mistakes. Even on Thursday the same mistakes from corners happened, albeit unpunished.

Will be interesting to see if he sticks with Barnes or goes two up top

A ‘six-pointer’ is a game where you’re level on points with the opposition and could be either three points behind or three points ahead at the end of it. It means sod-all otherwise, especially this early in the season.

I don’t think you need to be level on points, just close. But aye, it’s too early for a 6 pointer right now. X

If we can't set up offensively against these then there's no hope.

I'd keep Evans rested for this one to guarantee him for Villa which I think will be tougher. Big Dan has filled the void well.

Would also like to see Madders and KDH together.

“6 pointer” indeed…lol

They’re reportedly without Sarr and their best defender Nkoulou…

Not to jinx us, but we really should be SMASHING these at home.

KDH is an upgrade on madders... OK it was Warsaw, but we saw both well involved.  Yet KDH is more forceful.  The attacking mid is a busy place with tackles flying in.  The new reffing rules have going against madders.  KDH is more robust.

The defensive tackle on the edge of the area by KDH was something we would never see for madders.

Rodgers wouldn’t want that though

It's got to be a front two or front three.

Attack and go for it.

3 centre backs not needed against Watford.
