Well Mahrez has won 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 3 EFL cups and a community shield at Man City

Chilwell has a UCL medal at Chelsea

Granted that all Drinkwater got for his troubles was an inflated bank balance.

The only thing that will stop YT from going is if the right offer doesn’t materialise. I’d say if Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Man United or one of the big foreign clubs come in - he’s off!

He might have a decision to make if the only offer is Arsenal. Much bigger club than us, but have been treading water for a while now. I think they’d need CL football, although that didn’t put Kante off Chelsea

I think it's safe to say that we all sorta knew Chelsea would be back up there, but when you look at Arsenal it doesn't scream development, progression or regular Champions league football like Chelsea does.

To put it another way, I can think of two players from Arsenal I would have here, and potentially eight from Chelsea.

I do think there was legitimate interest from Arsenal and I think Tielemans believes he's better than that, would be interesting if the interest came elsewhere to see what would have happened. Either way, I'm at the stage of wanting him to put us out of our misery now.

Love Youri… just think we cash in now…see what KDH and the lump Soumare offer between now and the end of the season and then buy accordingly… This team is going to break up in the next year.. we need to start competing in the transfer market..

True , but we need to generate income and that means selling core players apart from Tielemans. We have a pretty strong squad but a solid CB ( Tarkowski) and a quality CM are priorities. Wide right less so but if he has defensive ability then that would be an option.

Agree that we should prepare for Tielemans exit now, being honest here but he has been very quiet and hasn’t had much effect in the last couple of games, maybe he knows something we don’t and a deal is done elsewhere, a club will pay a bit more in this window than in the summer window. I know I will get flack as he’s been a great servant but that’s just my opinion… x

We need 2CBs…. Have done since the fofana injury and Jonny unfortunately not being fit properly from last season..

we got that useless 6.6 lump… so still need two new CBs going into next season…3 should  we cash in on Soyuncu who let’s be honest isn’t anywhere near the top of his game

Who’s gonna give us anything substantial for Cags at this point? Better to keep him and see if his form picks up with a leader back there.

Liverpool and Manchester City are the clubs most interested in signing contracts with Youri Tielemans. Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona are also monitoring Tielemans' situation. #MCFC #LFC #LCFC #HalaMadrid #Gooners #ForçaBarça

I think I could take him going to Man City or Liverpool, although I'd prefer he moved to Real if he does leave. I cannot stand the thought of him going to Arsenal though. They can **** right off.

If he has to stay in England then I'd most like it to be Man City. Doesn't affect us and likely makes them take more points off our rivals.

I really don't want him to go to another club in the Premier league. He can't play against us 😢 if he is going then go abroad Youri!

Darren Lewis (Mirror) just said that he wouldn't be surprised if Youri left Monday. (Talksport)

The end of this transfer window is the most we would get for him so if he's not going to sign a new contract then it's best we sell him for as much as we can now. It will be sad to see him go but if he wants out then it's pointless keeping him and his value is going to go down in the summer. We need to get scouting his replacement.

If Youri goes without any players coming in, in this window, there'll be a meltdown of epic proportions on socials.

Basically what was said on talksport

I've come to accept Youri leaving, the season's going nowhere anyway. Let's ship him out ASAP, for as much money as we can now and then we have the second half of the season to learn to fill the gap he leaves and hopefully go into next season stronger.

Worst case scenario, he stays, plays half heartedly until the summer, leaves for peanuts last minute.

Was the tone of this suggesting that he knows of clubs bidding for or making serious inquiries about Tielemans, or just that it would make financial sense for City to sell now?

We've been looking at potential replacements since at least last November. If he goes in January without a replacement, a possibility, I'd say we've as good as written off this season in terms of achieving anything. But there's been no serious names linked and surely too late to sort out anything now with most of the better options unlikely to move until the summer. But we probably need the income as we didn't recoup much of the summer spend.

I think moving to Man City would be a mistake.  Youri needs to be playing regularly to perform to his best and very few players at man city play every game.
