A spinal tap 11 on the scale of shitness. This is the worst and most abject performance of the season. I can easily see us not winning another game all season. Appalling, embarrassing, spineless, gutless, incompetent. Nothing positive what so ever.

How many capitulations have we seen? Bournemouth, Newcastle, Man City and Spurs - it's too much of a pattern. We lack leadership when we up against it, no one is vocal taking control and calming the players. 

 

Soyuncu loses his composure far too often. Amartey was dreadful, and Ndidi was poor leaving them the centre-halves exposed. One of the worst defensive displays I've seen, and that says a lot given how bad our defending has been this season. 

 

The setup wasn't right from the start, why Lookman again on the right? And Barnes again leaving Thomas 2 vs 1, he needs to work harder defensively for the team which might explain why he got taken off. 

 

We lack physicality, got bullied again. 

 

Ndidi has been our best CB when he's played there, he has to go to defence, while KDH must play because at least he pressures the opposition in midfield.

We bossed the first fifteen minutes which gave the players a false sense of security - I assume we arrived expecting to just rock up and play and win without needing to fight for it.  The way the game began just reinforced that. Once we conceded we were mentally screwed 
 

the manager and backroom staff are responsible for getting the players heads right

Getting dumped out by a mid-table championship side, and we were totally outplayed is just the ultimate embarrassment. I thought the spurs defeat was humiliating, this has topped it.

I’m not shocked. I’m not angry. I’ve not got that feeling we missed an opportunity. 

 

Brendan has made me lose all of these emotions. This just feels like the standard for me now

1st goal - Thomas does well holding pence up who knocks it back to Johnson but where the fvck was Barnes! He had an age to get back there! Simple floated ball in and they score, Amartey, Soyuncu in terrible positions.

 

2nd goal - Amartey! Nothing else to say.

 

3rd goal - Ndidi let’s his man go in the middle of the fvcking box! Amateur defending.

 

4th goal - They have a throw and Amartey and Soyuncu are well out of position as they take it. Soyuncu is way too far up and is played out of the game with a simple give and go. Tbf Lookman was taken out as he went into the box so we should have had a free kick there.

 

Ref was really rubbish also.

 

You can’t give goals away like this. There’s gotta be something wrong behind the scenes.
