West Ham have our number.

Moyes has had BR's pants down in every single encounter and it will be no different this time.

Will Rodgers persist with a 2 man midfield and get overrun for a 4th time?

This. As bad as it sounds I didn't go yesterday. I had a ticket but I passed it on to my mate who was desperate to go. I'm so done with football at all levels currently - the fans at aways are awful, drug taking is rife, the violence in the town centre, chants about ridiculous things, one of our fans actually punching a player. It was all so inevitable and I'm about done with it.

That's before I even get on to sky sports, talksport, the media hype and then the actual football.

I agree with all of this - I'm always questioning myself whether this is just an age thing and that I was the idiot 25 years ago!

I can't give it up though .... and suspect you can't either, as you're on a fan's forum mid morning on a monday after being spanked by our local rivals yesterday!!

It's gauging fan opinion on a football fan forum.

I don't understand how anyone can find an issue with it.

Nothing we say on here will actually be taken into consideration, including team line-ups etc, should we just close the forum down?

I am not interested in having a tennis match with you on this one.  We are all hurting very badly today.   Adding toxicity to a festering situation is hardly going to help us.   BR earns a fat salary as do the players and they now need to show up and earn their corn.

Get rid and there will be 100% turnaround from players and results, even with no permanent manager in place.

I won't hold my breath, Top is a businessman and won't take the risk.:brendan:

Maybe, but we are not splashing 20m for this concept, Top is, and Top is a businessman and I doubt he would be so reckless on a punt

Very hard out now.

There are no more defences for him and there is no where else to hide. The players are out of control going on the lash with 3 days before the next game. The manager is publicly throwing them to the wolves to save his own diminishing reputation. Its done, he’s finished.

History will look back more kindly and he will go down as one of our best ever managers but right now, its a mess.

For anyone that wants Brendan to stay. Genuine question, what is going to change that hasnt already. I mean we've had shocking performances. Repeated mistakes. sustained periods of atrocious performances. Shocking results etc.

What is going to be difference from this result that the side/manager have not taken heed from say Newcastle going 4-0 up or Bournemouth turning the game on its head. Or Spurs tearing us apart or us giving away a lead in 20 seconds.

What benefit is it to LCFC to allow these players/manager to continue in their roles with the shortcomings they clearly have ?

A lack of a viable alternative more than anything for me. We aren't going get anyone in now who is going to take us back to the level we expect long term. Might as well ride it out and see what happens then reassess in the summer.

In. He's still the best manager we can get. All the reactionaries who is saying he should lose his job aren't coming up with a name. That just tells me none of you are serious.

By the way he isn't going anywhere anytime soon anyway so you may as well go whistle.

Harsh truth.

But that doesn't change the fact many of us have had enough and want him gone.

Sounds to me like he is laying the foundations for his exit. Turning point was when he was linked to Man Utd, at that stage he’d never dreamt of being sacked by us, and that a “Big club” job would come.

He’s now at a pivotal moment in his career where if sacked by Leicester, he’s at a lower point than when he was sacked by Liverpool. Celtic rebuilt his reputation, but after us he won’t get better than mid table premier league.  And his dreams of being a big club manager are finished. With only one person to blame. If he’d have focused on our project and progressed this year, he’d have had the world at his feet, but sadly looks like he’s living up to his 2 season history book.

I actually voted in… just, mainly because I think there has to be the opportunity to bounce back from that shit yesterday, if we win a few games in the league in succession we can still have an ok season. It’s a big if. I don’t think now is the time to change, it’s highly unlikely we will be relegated, and at the end of the season is a better time to evaluate and act.

For those who want him to stay - it will be interesting to see their stance when we inevitably slip to 14th/15th in the league.

I do believe that's what is coming. Perhaps as early as the end of February.

My glass has been half full throughout and untill today I've been in the keep camp.

Yesterday I finally realised my glass has been half full of stale piss.

We have played the best football I’ve ever seen under Rodgers. However, we are very quickly heading towards the toxicity amongst fans we had towards the end of Puel’s reign which sadly may be the trigger to push him out.

I’m not Rodgers out just yet, but whilst I agree the players need to take some accountability, the bloke is on £10m a year. He needs to also step up now and show he can get these players fighting again.

Thursday’s team selection and the players’ reaction to the defeat will be telling. If we look anywhere near like we did yesterday in terms of work rate the pressure will start to built from the board IMO.

I think he has proven he can’t fix whatever is broken. His claim that we will have a massive overhaul in the summer seems far fetched. None of the players we might sell are going to command excessive fees based on this season.
so how does he complete the overhaul without the massive money he needs?

that game yesterday was screaming for Albrighton to come on and show some leadership and fight regardless of his abilities. Why didn’t he?  He’s the one player available  I’d say can be relied on to give everything and set the tone albeit his best days are gone.

I think we have to be very careful. I think we’re at crunch time with whether we stick or twist. I’ve wanted Rodgers gone for a while but have actually changed my mind. The more I reflect on what he said yesterday the more I think he is correct to go public. More importantly though I can’t think of a better manager to coach and be the best conduit for kids from our academy into the first team. It would be a massive risk and potentially very harmful in the long term to panic and get someone like Lampard in (I know he’s at Everton just using as an example). If you want him out - and I can understand the frustration - let’s start hearing who you’d bring in as a replacement. Because only acting on the first part without a plan for the second would be utterly crazy.

In. Just barely. I really don't want us to get into the habit of chopping and changing, certainly not while relegation isn't a worry and we have the chance of going far in the conference league.

I personally doubt we'll win that, anyway. But what I do want to see is how he handles this. All managers have bumps but I would like to see a strong showing.

Bench Youri and others if they can't be bothered, manage games better to limit our weaknesses.

I’m amazed people still voted in tbh.

He’ll be here until the end of the season then be let go in the summer, said it for ages. Only way this changes is if we go on a ridiculously poor form, failing to win like 5 or 6 in a row.

Think that's quite plausible with our upcoming fixtures.

The issue is, that could become a concern given the fixtures we have coming up.

My feeling is that Rodgers’s achievements with us means he’s earned the chance to put things right.

The question is - how long does that mean?

My guess would be until March/April. And who knows, maybe the whole situation will be different by then.

But things could accelerate if we have a bad February…

I suspect that while ManUre are sill looking for a new manager we wont get rid of BR for purely financial reasons as the potential compensation would outweigh the £20m pay off if we sacked him.

We are out of the cups and we are unlikely to finish Top6 so we wont gain much by firing him now....but we would save money if ManUre came in for him.

Its only an opinion and i might be massively wrong (I usually am!!) but in this instance, the timing of his departure might have huge financial implications for us......and i cant think of anyone available who we would want to replace him right now either which would present another compensation issue

I’m still in, but close to changing my mind.

I hate the not playing for manager thing but it’s happens.

I am now firmly in the OUT camp.  Losing 4-1 to Forest is unforgivable
