Biggest achievements are winning the domestic cup and finishing fifth twice to miss out on the Champs League….erm….

Don’t understand why people would want him even before thinking about alienating the women’s side of things as well as the gay community.

It would be fun just for a few weeks though. Just think of the look on some of our players little faces. Perez would be in the gym with Lookman to toughen up, Soyuncu would have a scary hero, Tielemans would be running round like a blue arsed fly, Vestergaard would magically be able to jump and sprint plus there'd be no sign of Maddison's see through handbag that he brings his kit in.

A month should do it with Keano as the coach they could go to to share their problems. 😳😁🤣

I assume that someone has looked at Leicester's recent history of crumpling defensively, thrown in Rodgers' remarks and concluded "Leicester need a hard man to yell at the players."

Given that Roy Keane has now been thoroughly relegated to Lower League Manager status and we're a European Club now, dontcha know, an out of work Gattuso is just a natural link.

Yep.  A 2-month contract would be ideal

Oops - sorry Lambert, you beat me to it.

I’ve no idea if he’s any good. But I like his shouting and strangling game. On the “Mother Theresa-Hilter” scale I’d give his church wedding comment a 4 out of 10.

A large part of me says no but then a small part of me thinks that if we do have a problem with some players in our squad that a horrible tw@t like Gattuso might be just what they need.

No idea if he has any tactical clout but we definitely should get him in so we can play the sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit video as part of the pre-match montage.

Fair enough, but would someone (obviously not you as you can't read this anymore) mind explaining why Gattuso holding an opinion officially sanctioned by the entire Catholic Church makes him unfit to manage us?

I hate to use a hypothetical to demonstrate my argument, but say we had the opportunity to sign a good right winger that fits the profile, left footed and a decent finisher. He happens to be a Muslim that said several years ago that he believes you cannot practice Islam as a gay person (having lived in the middle East, I promise you that this is a very popular opinion and very much backed by their holy scripture), but that he has nothing against gay people existing or doing whatever they please.

Would you be against signing such a player?

I don't know. My Italian grandmother, an elderly and devout Catholic woman, has said very similar to Gattuso in the past regarding church marriage, but she has absolutely no issues with gay people existing, in her family or otherwise. Should I demonise her and cut her out of my life for being homophobic?

I get the point you are trying to make, but it is completely resisting any kind of progression and shows to me a problem with accepting peoples personal lives. Catholics supposedly believe that god made them as he intended so why would a gay catholic not get married in a church when they’re affecting nobody else’s life but their own, when ‘god’ designed them like that? Its got a definite feel of trying to avoid the subject at all costs. It definitely doesn’t sound welcoming to homosexuals. Especially the amount of scandals coming from the Catholic Church with same sex relations it all seems a bit sardonic.

As for in bold, I wouldn’t want to sign them purely on the basis they’re chatting shit. I won’t go into my views on religion too much but there’s 100’s if not thousands of ‘gods’ yet he believes that you can’t choose one and pray to it because you’re attracted to the same sex? Then unironically and unapologetically goes and worships a bloke who had a 9 year old wife. I think he needs to take a step back and evaluate which is worse, as does their holy scripture by the sounds of it.

Anyway I’ve gone off on a tangent, don’t want Gattusso, not cause of what he said 15 years ago but he’s definitely not an upgrade on Rodgers.

Gosh some are focusing on comments he made over a decade ago.

Let's focus on his managerial  style and achievements abit more

Not a lot of point as he will never manage us, not in million years

Can’t help but see the irony in this managerial link and a separate topic which is running in parallel beginning with “head losses” …

Not sure this chap is the type of manager we are looking for!

God I love him even more. I’m not sure that’s the kind of angry scowl that will nurture our u23 talent but I’m willing to give him a whirl for a season.
