Tfft. They get a lot of stick on here but our 2 CB s were very good tonight.

Some lovely moments in that game. We rode our luck at times, but we were the better team AND won! 

 

Vardy back and scoring, Madders goal with his left foot, Barnes in decent nick, clean sheet, some decent defending from set-pieces (at the very least, not conceding from one against Burnley will be a confidence boost for sure).

 

Bittersweet moment: Ricky looking really good again before needing to be replaced at the break. Hope he's just being managed carefully.

Great impact from Vards and Maddison. Deserved win on the balance of play, Nick Pope had a blinder.

I thought our defence particularly today was excellent. Big Dan and Cags absolutely owned big Weghorst

I like him as a player, but with the experience that he has, he really should have had better control of them going forward, a very one dimensional team.

Great win tonight. We actually looked good and defended well. Best game Cags has had for a while. Burnley are horrible to play against. Absolute hoof merchants and that big unit they have up front is about as dominant in the air as the lamp post. Lovely to have vardy back too.

Amartey and Soyuncu were good, but a word for Ndidi, much more like it, chasing everything down in midfield. KDH closed them down further up, and Barnes was excellent at times. But it needed the extra quality off the bench to beat a superb keeper. Otherwise Burnley got what they deserved, nothing. The 1980s want their long ball game back.

Well that was better. You have to be patient at Burnley. They’re a horrible team with very little quality who have one and only interest which is to defend. Brendan picked a side that worked hard and defended really well and then threw on flair Maddison and the GOAT to win the game. Unreal performance from the boys. Carry that in to Saturday and things will be looking up big time. Fofanna back soon, JJ and Castagne not too far away….we will be fine!

I couldn't ask for a better result. A clean sheet, two fantastic goals, and a seamless return from Vardy.

 

Vardy, Maddison and Barnes will rightly be praised but Caglar and Amartey were tremendous tonight. Burnley are a tough side, and I thought we'd crumble. They both were well positioned and covered for each other when needed. They were also aggressive and attacked the ball. Fantastic job. Absolutely thrilled we kept a clean sheet.
