Thought he did fine. Got one wrong on Madders and could possibly have dished out a couple more yellows. Other than that, it was an easy one to ref

Personally found it quite refreshing to have two teams who weren’t in his face every five minutes as well.

Perhaps. But wouldn't it be more prudent to have an actual striker on the pitch if and when another chance comes along? Rather than essentially play for a 0-0 for 20 minutes against a side blatantly playing for a 0-0.

Until of course our manager realised it was a wasted 20 minutes hence Daka came on.

It was 13 minutes.

He tried something it didn't work, it not the end of the world.

Kelechi and daka together next game, rest tielemans and ask him for a vintage game, 41212 and we'll win. At the least both of our st up front together please

If only 😂😂😂😂

This is Rodgers’ biggest downfall

He’ll live and die on the ‘1’ up front hill

Got more than one wrong from where I was sat. On both sides. Haven’t watched back on TV yet, so it could be perspective, but I don’t think it was.

Which didn’t explain Albrighton playing 80 minutes after 3 weeks out. Baffled me that

Yes he looked tired.

I suspect he will not play at the weekend.

To be fair we are lacking options in wide areas massive weak area in the squad.

Disappointing performance and result really. We just didn’t create anything, Maddison, Barnes and Youri all had poor games.

I still think we have a decent chance of going through next week though

PSV have left me speechless tonight, so so defensive and yet they have probably executed their game plan perfectly given how poor we are away from home this season.

1st half we did OK, there was a modicum of zip to our play but it does feel like we struggle to commit players forward. I haven't a clue what our system was today. I assumed KDH would play a deeper role tonight but if anything he was the most forward advanced and Tielemans and Maddison were quite deep, either way we had very little support when Iheanacho tried to link the play or when Barnes received it with any impetus.

Iheamacho really needs to stop trying to chip the bastard keeper, that's 3 one on one misses in 3 games and was the standout chance of the night.

2nd half was absolute horse muck, wish we'd had the extinction rebellion lot on instead, probably would have created more goal mouth action than either of us did.

KDH and Fofana were excellent, Evans looked very commanding early on when PSV actually had a bit of effort going forward.

All to play for next week, we simply have to build on last weekends away performance for once and go and get the job done. Tonight was another wasted opportunity to get Daka and Iheanacho on, which now makes it only once in 2022 that he's played them at any time together which was Forest away when we were already 3-1 down and yet up until Xmas he'd only ever played them together if he could. Frustrating as that false 9 move was baffling and he should never EVER do that again.

This has really tickled me 😂😂

Very true though. It’d be hilarious if it wasn’t alarming (to some)

Yeh Schmidt won the tactical battle. He set his team to get the draw away from home in the first leg which they did and we barely threatened. They were unlucky not to nick a win with that penalty.

Now they can go for the win infront of their fans where they will be a different beast in attack. Will be a very tough match for us.

"We barely threatened" by hitting the post and missing a one-on-one?

Some on here reflexively magnify the opposition's performance and minimize ours.

It was a tight game that either side could have nicked.

Expect pretty much the same next week (not least because their fans won't kick a ball).

Yeah, I didn't say it was.

My point is it was a frustrating move to try out a false 9, as opposed to having a striker on the pitch. It stopped any kind of a press, seemed to confuse the front 3 and nullified any goal threat.

Meh.

Still all to play for, I wasn’t overly impressed with PSV, but we were pretty piss coming forward tonight.

I’d be more confident going to there place with a lead, but we need to drastically improve going forward otherwise it’s tara European football.

Funnily enough, our living room were in agreement at the end on that was well. There was very little play acting and it felt like it was being played in a good spirit.

Especially given PSV were not given a blatant pen!

We overcomplicated everything in the final third and gave possession away cheaply. Their keeper had pretty much nothing to do. Baffled by the Lookman as a false 9 move too. Disappointed.

It'll be interesting to see next week when they're obliged to attack, reckon we'll have better chances at their place than ours. I suspect it'll go to penalties though.

Wondering why I bought a shirt with an ECL badge after that frustrating evening….

I hope we can sing next week like the away fans did tonight.

Trying to do too much in the final third and I still don’t understand what he was going for with Lookman for Nacho. If we were going to end up with Lookman and Daka then I would’ve liked a period at least with both Daka and Nacho and a chance to try something a bit different..

PSV looked fairly well organised but we did not do nearly enough to trouble them. And to add to the already contentious atmosphere argument - it’s been a little while since I’ve been at the KP as I do not live in Leicester but I found it a bit disappointing given the occasion even though I was in SK1.

The lads behind me did really well to keep it going all night and I joined in as much as I could (alongside a couple near me) but it’s surprising how many people will not even clap or cheer or sing along at any moment. It’s not that these are old or frail either, I felt like Kasper could’ve scored four and they still wouldn’t budge much.

Onwards and upwards hopefully.

The irony is PSV are not a defensive side and not a team who can rely upon their defense but they obviously have seen enough in the way we prat about on the ball and our heinous away record that they thought this was the best way to set up against us tonight.

It makes me nervous for next week even though on tonight's evidence the only thing we have to worry about is sleep apnea. Really expected them to be very aggressive, feel like it's been a missed opportunity for us. We need to sort out our system and how we attack, it's starting to piss me right off.

Far too cautious tonight and I'm concerned for the second leg as I think they have goals in them when they don't park the bus.

That Lookman for Iheanacho sub was bizarre. Neither Albrighton nor Barnes were contributing much and Iheanacho was getting isolated. I personally would have brought Lookman on for Albrighton to inject some pace down the right with the aim of getting Lookman and Barnes further up the pitch to free up Iheanacho in and around the penalty area. The false 9 was never going to work in this game and in all honesty I can't ever recall an instance where it has for us as we simply don't have the personnel.

Considering we were the home side I really wanted to see us be more adventurous in our play and take the game to them but we did the opposite and this safety first approach that Brendan continuously defaults to is very frustrating to watch given the talent we have in the side.

Disappointing not to take a lead there, will be another really testing atmosphere like Rennes was. That said, it does feel like PSV will have to come out more at their place and I think that plays into our hands. Will be tough, but it’s in the balance.

I would rest a few for Palace on Sunday and focus on PSV, think KDH needs a breather and could do with him re-charged for PSV, would also rest Nacho & Evans & Fof (if needed).
