Only nervousness is since the title win, the amount of signings we've made of players over the age of 25/26 and only Evans has been a success.

Good point, but I do wonder if it is because we can't afford players in the 26-30 who are a good standard and end up with the lower quality one due to are price range?

Evans just happened to have a ridiculous clause in his contract, still find it hard to believe none of the big boys were interested at the time.

I’ve just listened back to the interview with the French journalist…. I get the impression she’s either talking about a completely different player or doesn’t have a clue what she’s on about……

She claimed he would need to improve his aggression and physicality…. Yet isn’t that the basis in which Renne play?

I think this is a fair comment. He's a hard runner, who works hard and presses, but he's got a gangly build and could get pushed off the ball in our league.

Ricardo needed to improve both physicality and aggression and he managed to do it. In his first 4 games for us he got bullied by Premier League attackers, but then adapted and became a superstar. Adrien Silva would be the opposite of that, who despite his technical skill couldn't handle the running and tough tackling. Arguably you could say the same for Soumare too.

This is a risk you run with every foreign signing, and often doesn't have anything to do with physical characteristics. I bet 99% of people on this forum are taller than N'golo Kante, and yet you'd never shove him off the ball in a month of Sundays.

He looks like an upgrade on Marc Albrighton.

Great crossing, smart passes into the box and a decent finisher. Doesnt look like he can beat a man, looks like we would need Riccy for an overlap to help create space.

Very versatile and a good price. Shrewd business in my opinion.

He can plug a whole if we want players out. And definitely has the quality to push Madders. Youri and Perez.

Which can free us up to get Perez and Praet out without leaving us short of quality.

Look, I said no ok. Sod your fancy and wholly reasonable explanations as to why he would be suitable. I said no, and I actually meant no.

With that sort of versatility you just KNOW Brendan is buying him to play at left back.

Just seen him described as 'Albrighton-esque' jfc :D

Tbf, you could superficially describe Jamie Vardy as "DJ Campbellesque" if you're only drawing vague comparisons loosely on style of play.
