They did for sure, think Jiminez being out exacerbated it too.

Going back to a club doesn’t always work although guess David Moyes at West Ham has. He'll always be loved by the vast majority of Wolves fans. We need someone who'll make sure we stay up. Nuno is probably the most likely to do that rather than an unknown. It'll be interesting to see if he can adapt to a 4 at the back again. Whether we score goals is another issue. I think that goes deeper than just the manager in charge. 2
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Fosun are absolutely determined to make Wolves' stay in the Barclays the least memorable of anyone ever, I'm convinced of it. Get a funny manager and be very shit or very good for gods sake.

MalletFox Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Half an hour in to the Brentford vs Brighton game and I’m watching the game thinking how much better both of them are than us!! Both move the ball with pace, look threatening, press with energy …. Everything we don’t do! Does reassert the concerns as to how crap we are! 2

Was thinking the same about the pace and energy of these teams. On a totally different level to what we are showing. Brighton especially look good, even though they are 1 down. Brentford are basically a high energy version of Burnley, with a very direct approach. Frank is doing an amazing job to have them in the top half, given the quality of their team as a whole. 1
Super_horns Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Not often you see 2 managers getting booked . Getting a bit fiery

First season up they looked pretty good but they’ve not spend and look content being shit Fosun are in financial trouble back in China too.
Wymsey Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Don't like Thomas Frank's sheer arrogance at times. 2
Arkie Bennett Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Toney recovered from seemingly being crippled by the slight touch to put away the resultant penalty. 1

Arkie Bennett Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 You can see the influence Brentford's new falling over coach, Miranda Hart, is having. 1

Guest Col city fan Posted 14 October 2022 Posted 14 October 2022 Made a few quid on Brentford tonight. I think Brighton will drop like a stone now Potter has gone. They aren’t a great side. He was the glue

He'll make them bastards to play against, organised, defensive as all ****, and they'll also have goals on the counter attack. He has a low ceiling but also a high floor with his style of play. I wouldn't pay to watch his god awful football mind, makes Mourinho sides look cavalier... Plus his beard is shit. 2
Aus Fox Posted 15 October 2022 Author Posted 15 October 2022 What’s the record for the most managers to leave their job in a season? We’ve already had 4 I think, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Brighton and Wolves. Us, Villa, Leeds and Southampton the talk is getting louder by the day amongst disgruntled supporters wanting change at the top. I know Cooper has signed a new deal, but still wouldn’t be surprised to see him go before the end of the season. West Ham are in a similar predicament to us last season and appearing to be becoming a bit flat, could their board act? It seems everytime I listen to any talkback more and more supporters want their manager gone. Interestingly, outside of Man City the only supporters who seem happy are Arsenal - who spent the last two seasons wanting Arteta out.
NewEnglandFox Posted 15 October 2022 Posted 15 October 2022 The Montreal Canadiens have a thing where they always want a head coach that speaks French so they end up rehiring the same fired guys over and over again. So it really doesn't surprise me that Wolves need someone Portuguese.

They had quite a few ring Talkshite today and absolutely delighted he was coming back. One or two dissenting voices but a lot recognised that his final 18 months was hampered by Jiminez's injury and losing Jota. I'm not sure where the idea that Nuno plays a depressing brand of football comes from. They stormed the Championship and finished 7th with him. I'd prefer that to havng a defensively naive manager who repeats the same Groundhog Day defending for 18 months. He's certainly not in the Dyche or Allardyce mould. 1
