I think we need a bit of a refresh Stan. The rigour of Europe gone I hope it means we can take every Prem game seriously. Get some of the deadwood out and buy some genuine leaders who will put themselves about for the shirt. Good Lord without KDH this year I think I would have given up a long time ago.

Positives:

No Europe means we can focus on the Premier league and stop needlessly chucking games away.

Negatives:

No Europe means we won't be signing the best players available and those we already have could easily get their heads turned.

A rebuild would be so much easier with a better league position and European football. As it stands, I'm not looking forward to this rebuild at all, partly because of the aforementioned point, partly because Brendans signs shite, regardless.

We're going to find it hard to attract players.

It may be a case of dipping in to the Championship, taking a risk and hoping to find quality like Maddison and Justin.

Need to move a lot of players on and I'd just chuck cash at free agents, like Eriksen and Lingard.

Need more depth and competition, making players raise their game.

Desperately need to get out of the rut we've been in for 14 months.

Maybe a good pre-season, injury free and we can look at challenging for the top 6 again.

I won't hold my breath though.

We know we're probably losing Youri and Soyunchu, maybe others too. Massive rebuilding job in the summer. With no European football there's probably 15 to 20 less games. If we don't get another rash of crucial injuries we're pushing for top 6 again.

Top sit down with BR look him square in the eyes, and ask him where he sees us being in 3 years time? his answer will be challenging the top 6, your answer will be well I seen us there 8 years ago when we were nowhere near that and we've done that already, are you to small a fish for our real ambitions and should you go to a more comfortable job where they expect less of you? we finish 12th next season with BR regardless of the squad.

The only positive, is that without Europe, Rodgers has nowhere to hide...So fortunately, he will finally be exposed to be completely inadequate at this level.

The only problem is, how much damage will have been done when he leaves?

We've already witnessed the decline of certain players, will the likes of Barnes/Pereira/Soyuncu/Ndidi have anything left that a superior manager can rebuild from. Or will Rodgers have destroyed them for good?

best case scenario next season 7th/ 8th worst case 11th/12th, we are mid table mediocrity now, don't believe we will do much in the cups either so lets see a new GK and striker play more games, an please if either Vardy or Kaspers contracts get renewed it needs to be year by year for half the current rate.

Not ideal especially from the finance point of view but I'm happy to see how we get on and can mange the squad with no European football for a season. That said beciae of it I expect a much better league position finish. Maybe take the 2 domestic cups a little more seriously again.

If we don't and we struggle with managing injuries then I'd accept questions need to be asked. But for now. I'm almost glad of the summer break. It's been an emotional rollercoaster again following us.

Rodgers being anywhere near a squad refresh, especially with the pool of players already limited by no European football and a lame-duck manager, is a terrifying thought.

Fook me Stan you are an extremely positive man. Where can i buy your weed from? Lol

Just kidding. We will get over this and get back to it all. Something HAS to change and let's hope next season sees improvement!

A year away from Europe might be a good thing in the bigger picture. Make the team appreciate being in it more and work harder to get it back. I’ve got every faith that we’ll be back in it again after a year, two max. Thank god we finished 5th last season. Champions League would have been embarrassing.

It’ll be interesting to see if Brendan keeps his job.

One good thing about not being in Europe next year is that I’ll save a bit of money on all the extra tickets, taxis home and BT Sport (Cancelling my subscription to now). Silver lining 😂😂

I’d imagine we’ll look to do something like the following:

Out - Tielemans, Soyuncu, Vestergaard, Castagne, Bertrand, Amartey.

In - Brooks/Januzaj/Pavon, Denayer, Tarkowski, Schlupp, Grob.

Our real ambitions? What are they in your eyes - title?!

Challenging for top 6 again is good for us.

Biggest issue for me in not being in Europe is it makes it way harder to develop players. We have an inflated squad from 2 years of European competition and they'll be a lot less gametime and rotation with only 1 game a week again next season.

The likes of Daka and Soumare who I keep hearing need next season to develop, simply won't get the game time. Your 3rd choice striker and 4th or 5th choice midfielder aren't getting on much if you're only playing 1 game a week in the league.

This  - just have to convince players that our absence this season is an injury hit blip - we may have to be more relaxed about some contractual clauses though ….

You don't need a lot of money to rebuild replace some of best players have cost next to or nothing and some of the most expensive could be on our worst ever buy list.

We need the recruitment team to be in top form and to not be afraid of getting in hungry ambitious unknowns.

Just because WHU and Everton are linked doesn't make players great in fact more likely players to avoid.

I think this is where Rodgers can be more ruthless. We've been in injury prevention mode all season - either getting players back or trying to keep them fit for "big" games.

With no europe, trim the squad and make it ultra-competitive. Not performing, you don't start - plenty of players who can come in and stake a claim for a place.
