1920s apparently

In the 20s we had 4 consecutive top half finishescand again in the Martin O'Neil era, but this is the first sequences of 5.

We know how it goes when we line up in that way, no attempts or even intention to create a chance the only surprise is Chelsea didn’t take their chances which would have ended in a deserved loss

It’s a very good point.

If you think we played that game with Mendy and KDH as our midfielders we were never going to control the game.

My worry is that the cupboard looks bare in midfield and Youri’s off, KDH is still a work in progress and N’didi is limited in his attributes. I think how well we recruit in this area in the summer will define our season. We have to get it right!

This. There were a few times we could have been in on the counter but we delayed our laying the ball in too much. KDH has loads of good qualities, but he’s no Youri when it comes to threading or at least attempting those through balls.

Defended brilliantly though and don’t think we got much help from the ref.

Organised enough but very much a end of season game.

Strikers really poor, Iheanacho terrible, Vardy excellent shuttle runs and pointing but not thing else, Barnes failed an audition to be a striker. Far too many of our players take too long to decide what to do.

Decent point though.

Nacho can't retain the ball, has little strength, can't hold it up or has any real pace. We played with 10 men tonight

To be honest looks like we went there not to be beat which was delivered so not too bad. Felt a bit meh about the game though. Defensively strong but constantly isolated in their side of the pitch. However looking strong for Southampton, with Wolves likely to lose to Liverpool thus 8th is a strong possibility.

That was grotesque, but you can’t say they’re not playing for the manager - the effort was there.

Little Wes putting our wingers to shame towards the end by actually taking a man on!

It’s never a bad point at Chelsea to be fair, and this close to the window, who knows what the hell is going on with available personnel?

Unexciting, but job done and it’s not our fault Pulisic is cack.   lol

Nacho was the weak link tonight. When a team plays on the counter they have to have some sort of target man to hold the ball up and bring through the oncoming players. The ball just bounced off him far too often.

I think Rodgers may well look at this in the summer.

Good defensive performance, overall pleased with how we played, we were never going to see much of the ball anyway

Don't know how anyone can say Chelsea looked like they couldn't be arsed, personally felt they were very much going for the win and looked very dangerous

Given everything, 8th would be higher than expected. But also given the poor standard of the division this season, the shame is that if we could have put any sort of run together we’d have made 6/7 and back into Europe

The injuries have killed us this season, especially to Wes

That Pulisic miss lol

Bwahahaha.

He's a horrid person, too, so get it right up him and thanks very much for the point.

Did I read somewhere that if we finish top 10 that it will be our longest run of top flight, top 10, finishes EVER?

I might have imagined it but, if true, it gives this season a bit of perspective

But we did have 1 attempt and scored from it.

Yes. It is true.
