Rodgers on Radio Leicester when asked why Soumare, Hamza or Vestergaard not involved just saying they were outside the squad. Possible sales maybe? Fingers crossed.

Brendan out thread any one?

I sometimes think that after games like this, but then think who would we get. It's not like the new manager will have much chance to shape the squad, our hands are tied with transfers right now.

I'm annoyed with myself for getting so worked up.

For 60 mins our creative midfield looked great along with Castagne and Justin.

The sub was bizarre - if KDH has to go off then ffs bring on Praet or Perez to keep the momentum.

From my memory(which may be wrong) didn’t the player pick the ball up in the midfield area with not a player in sight? If we still had 3 in the middle he doesn’t have that time on the ball, so it drags out a centre half when not really needed.

Happened a couple times because I remember thinking the same, but it was still far too easy for da Silva to run at him and cut inside. As soon as you saw him sitting off, you knew what was going to happen next...

Think we underestimated Brentford a bit. Especially at 2-0, didn't properly put our boots on their neck. Paid the price

Hopefully a wake up call that not only do we need a bit of investment in the team but a wake up call that we can't take for granted beating these sides any more

Bournemouth away says hi! Another moment of BR madness

Fair enough - I think I'd actually managed to block that from my memory somehow.

Importance of game aside, this is on par with that.

The vibe in the dressing room can't be good right now.

Seen this said twice now. They'd scored ten minutes before Daka came on? They were already back in the game and we were defo no longer cruising

Totally agree with this - we were NOT cruising at that point.  We were already in trouble.  The sub made was still completely opposite of what was needed.  I'm struggling to think of a worse option than KDH off for striker and nothing else.

Also - Castagne was everywhere first half.  Maybe our most noticeable player even without the goal.  I don't think I noticed him once in the second half.

This is on Brendan. First game back and players were tiring - why not bring on Praet and sure up defence. Daka for Vardy not KDH! Why did he start Dan? That was weird.  He has players desperate to play and players tiring and yet again he doesn't make changes?

Genuinely can't remember a season I've been less excited for. For the first time ever I won't be prioritising watching our games. If it's on TV and I've got nothing on, I'll watch. Depressing.

Might instill some kind of mentality into the players we have though. There's a basis of a very capable team there (not much depth) but we're hamstrung by a manager incapable of killing off teams because his in game management is non existent

Blame BR all you want, let’s look at the bench options

Albrighton is over the hill

Perez is poor

Soyuncu has been a disaster since his 1 good season

Mendy is average

Praet was supposed to be the savior of that? Give me a break he’s just an ok player

imagine if Fofana goes, the defense has

been shambles for the past year. Evans is 35, Amartey not good enough for the prem. Yikes.

going to be an interesting campaign. I’m hoping mid table finish.

How about the England ladies manager.

Great leason on how to shut a game down and not making stupid substitutions.

That would be the Denis Praet who agreed to stay on with us as Rodgers promised him game time

Exactly! The same Dennis Praet who has been one of the standouts of preseason and come back reinvigorated and more than deserves game time.  Brendan is a pillock

I went 11th pre season.

If we sell Fofana, that drops down by at least a few places

Two points dropped. Played well for an hour and then they thought they’d done enough. Making one sub with five available is baffling to me. Brentford had five pairs of fresh legs on the pitch. Ndidi needed to come off, maybe Brendan felt he needed the minutes? To not utilise the bench on the opening game on a hot afternoon is questionable to say the least. From some optimism to just meh in 30 minutes

Rodgers couldn`t do any worse if he let the opponents manager make our subs, he really is that much of a pillock, over and over and over again, we need a goal, he puts a defender on, we`re winning he destroys the midfield or defence and puts an inferior midfielder or pointless striker on, i`m sure he`s good at many things but managing a live game, NOOOOOOOO, worse than useless

This lack of mental strength is the continuous worry for goodness knows how long. The manager surely has to address this.

...it does reflect the manager, he panics when we are under pressure and transmits that fear to his team!!!

Just plain odd the best player on the pitch and the man making things happen for us is KDH and that's the one Brendon chooses to bring off. Then nothing in the way of subs there after to disrupt Brentford's ascendency. Just plain odd all round from Brendon, maybe he wants out. Madders was not good, which is worrying too. But for an hour it was great to watch.
