Right I’ve just double doused Citalopram…

Very excited to see Soumare play again, looked like he had his head in the game!

Although, scared at the prospect of Ndidi at centreback again, he made himself smaller against that Ronaldo shot rather than bigger.

****, may need to triple dose.

I don't think this one makes him go, if he loses. Potter has them playing well and it's a tough away game. I'll understand the result if we lose 1-0 but I'll want to see a performance.

Next Saturday is the big one.

If it was me I'd like to see a more balanced side than the united one. I think there were midfielders we played who like to play centrally...pick three.

                     Ward

Castagne, New Bloke, Evans, Thomas

                 Soumare, DH

Albrighton,   Maddison,       Barnes

                      Daka

So pleased I'm going to this one :):):).

He has to start Iheanacho. Vardy horribly out of form and Daka has 0 confidence right now. Would rather get 2 strikers in but if it's just the one, has to be Kel as at least he'll hold the ball up and allow us to regroup.

Thank you for selecting Albrighton. Hopefully the next manager will utilise the wingers we do have (Perez, Albrighton, Barnes & Maswanhise :fc:), instead of pretending they don’t exist.

Surprised at the stick Justin is getting. Was on a hiding to nothing being asked to cover RB and RW all game. Was more concerned about Thomas, who is only really suited to a flat back 4, doesn’t have the athleticism to play as a wingback.

Other than that, surely Faes has to come in, and have to at least try something different. Our lack of any sort of option on the right is frightening, so think we’ll have to opt for a diamond and play more direct with 2 up top.

                      Iversen

Castagne - Faes - Evans - Justin

   Tielemans - Soumaré - KDH

                    Maddison

             Iheanacho - Daka

I don’t even know where you start with team selection on this. Hardly anyone in any form. If it was me I’d go:

                  Iversen

Castagne Faes Evans Justin

                   Ndidi

      Tielemans  Maddison

Praet                           Barnes

                    Daka

Iversen > Ward.

Ward wasn’t at fault yesterday (found Rodgers comments on his distribution interesting), but I just think Iversen is the better long term option and the time to start that is now.

Midfield

Harsh on Soumare and KDH, but we need to get the best out of Youri, and I don’t think Soumare is athletic enough to go along side him. Maddison has to start centrally so KDH also misses out.

Daka in for Vardy who is just offering nothing right now. We also really lack pace in the side apart from Barnes so Daka has to be given a go in my opinion

We have to be positive, two strikers against Brighton, with Madders in the 10, he drifts inside to try get us going no point playing him out wide. Considering the wide right issue, I’ve gone slightly different.

                          Iversen

Castagne.   Faes.      Evans.      Justin

                         Soumare

                  Praet.         KDH

                       Madders.

                  Vardy.    Kels

Danny Ward doesn’t look confident, why not give the lad Iversen a chance. Faes has to start, love Wilf but we need to see this lad play and after last night hard to ignore Soumare. Big Tielemans fan but I think we need to see Praet play with a diamond, both he and KDH can push out if we needed them to and this gives us two up top with Madders in his natural position

People slating Vardy perhaps need to look at the stats, he has had an average of 1 shot every game and only one of those was on target, we have been getting into the final third and lacked that final touch but can’t pin it all on one bloke. Yes he’s our main man, but strikers need service, if he scored every chance we had he’d be Erling Haaland.

As fans we need to back the team. Im going for a 2-1 win and a much needed boost

These lot are gonna rip us. Their movement and passing is excellent. We're the polar opposite.

Daka can’t play up top on his own. I’d be tempted to go for a 3-5-2 just to get Daka and Nacho playing together.

Welbeck hatty, Rodgers calls the club shite post match, still employed for the next game.

Iversen

Faes Evans Soyuncu

Albrighton Soumare KDH Castagne

Maddison

Nacho Daka

It has to be Iheanacho and Vardy as a 2 for me - a partnership that has got us out of poor form before and we know it works! The challenge is what we do with Barnes because he doesn't fit the diamond system, so maybe he's the impact sub from the bench (providing Brendan remembers he has substitutes to use)

When writing the line ups its a reminder of how imbalanced our squad is. Not enough space for talent in some positons and quite poor in others.

This isn’t about Brendan in or Brendan out. If you want him out as I do, I imagine we will get our wish at some point with the way things are going and the things that he has been saying.

This is a plea to all those who are making the trip down south to Brighton. Please, back the lads. Don’t boo if it’s 1-0 at HT. Don’t moan every time we play a backwards pass. No matter what is going on behind closed doors, one thing I can say with real certainty is that this squad is lacking confidence right now. They’re shot to pieces and they don’t appear to have a clue where their next win is coming from. They need our support, not our boos. It doesn’t help, it won’t help.

I am hoping and praying we get a reaction on Sunday. The window is officially shut. The squad is what it is now and we must work with it. I think we all know that this team is far better than 20th. One win and we could go on a run. I will be in S1E shouting and cheering my head off. Ripping in to Brighton players and calling the ref a **** but I will not be giving our players a hard time.

Lets make it an away end to remember. C’mon City!!

Get rid of BR today or tomorrow and we get something, but if the midget is still on the touchline writing notes in his tiny pad and playing midfielders at the back then it's another sorry loss with Maddison having a free kick as our only shot on target.

That was going through my mind. Funnily enough I picked Castagne over Justin with that in mind, I was hoping he'd got better vision and passing range to spot Daka early. I don't even know if that would help....(picking the team is harder than I thought)
