The bloke has lost 11 votes, can they vote indefinitely until it goes the way they want? Don't get it at all. This is uncharted territory- but will continue until someone is elected. Apparently there is a far right group of around 20 that hate McCarthy, and refuse to give him the necessary votes.

Jattdogg Posted 10 January 2023 Posted 10 January 2023 (edited) Lol biden way to go in full steam at trump and then this happens. Potentially classified documents from Biden's time as VP found in former private office https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6708462 Will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Might be a good idea to ban him and trump from running again. Assuming because this is american news that it is allowed. If the mods say otherwise then feel free to remove. Tommy G Posted 10 January 2023 Posted 10 January 2023 Found myself listening to radio leicester by accident this morning, sounds like a hotel in quorn is being used as an immigrant hotel - they interviewed some of the locals on their thoughts about it - most of the replies were borderline racist! Can't believe they let them air it to be honest, a lot of disgruntled locals.

For the residents a once thriving business that people coming to the area would visit and then spend money in other businesses in the local area is as good as closed, whilst from the hotels point of view its guaranteed income during a cost of living crisis. The government are basically going to keep them in business. Of course, without getting political obviously, if we processed these Asylum seekers quicker, there would be no need to house them this way. They either get sent home or we set them up for life here.

I can see both sides too, I was just surprised some of the comments from the locals made it onto the radio waves, it was like listening to a BNP conference.

RoboFox Posted 11 January 2023 Posted 11 January 2023 (edited) Bridgen has finally had the whip removed because of this absolutely bonkers tweet. The slimy cvnt is disgrace even to the Tory party - which takes quite some doing. It's an embarrassment to have this abhorrent fat toad associated with our noble county. Genuinely think the guy needs to seek help. Edited 11 January 2023 by RoboFox
