Gutted about this one. He has come back into the side recently and our form has upturned again, dropped him again after world cup, dropped in form, forced to play him again and we got a draw and a win.

He's fantastic at bombing up and down that right wing, defensively and attacking, he has the ability to play direct passes that lead to us finding space beyond opposition defences.

We will miss him I feel. There are no leaders in this team at all.

Can’t begrudge him wanting more gametime. Other players should take note.

Not kicked off and gone about it the right way.

Decision making at this club baffles once again however.

Tete, maddison, preat all on the right, with Ricardo coming back in 3 or so weeks

Defence was a bigger problem than the wing ever was*. We'll be fine

I feel like I’ve heard people saying this about Ricardo for over two years. He was one of my favourite players when fit and firing but is there any sense in hoping that we will see him put another run of games together again? Seems unlikely.

I think that Praet isn’t a genuine wide option and we all know that Maddison operates better more centrally or when he’s given more license to drift in. We could very much be in a situation where Tete gets injured or performs poorly and we are left with a weaker squad whilst desperately slipping into oblivion.

I think it's the right move for him but about 6 months early for us given we got no one else in; I'm not quite sure he's top-flight quality any more but having him around is infinitely better than...nobody. At the very least you know he's not going to half arse any chance he gets.

Scorer of some massive goals for us and has been a huge signing on a free. Fair play to him for wanting to play when we've got 16 stone of Scandinavian corned beef sat on the bench every week.

Stuck between a like and a laugh on this one for the Scandinavian corned beef comment lol

Pretty much my thoughts on this as well though. Considering we pick up injuries for fun, someone that come in and do a respectable job across the pitch for an extra 6 months would be handy. Like you say though, if he's gonna get regular football and he wants it then fair play to him.

The club needs a few older professionals about next season. There is a lot to be said for having a native English languare core to the squad. I think Evans will retire in the summer and so might Vardy. If Marc wants to come back next season and start to get his badges the club will benefit enormously from his presence, even if he does not play very much.

He's taken one for the team (to repurpose the cliche)

I reckon it's been about balancing the books and the club has said to him 'how do fancy 6 months of regular football and you can come back in the summer?' I guess we were hoping/assuming one of Veste or Cags would go out.

What's the situation of Tete is injured? He's still on the wages book so I can't see a recall option is a viable if my above guess is close to the truth.  I guess Praet's the back up option, could be worse.

No, he wants to play!

It is the end of the old guard, Schmeichel, Vardy and Albrighton. It has to happen, all part of evolution. Sometimes though, evolution goes backwards.

Doesn't if you recruit right. Everything moves on, you can't sit still in football and keep the same squad of players around.

Be interesting to see where this loan deal takes Marc I somehow I can't see him going on loan till the summer and then returning to the first team in the new season.

Best moment in a Leicester was scoring against Sevilla. A class English winger that should have been played for England.

This wonderful player will be misesd immensely, a great unsung hero who went out and just put in a shift and did his job.

Having seen him tearing it up at villa l thought his signing for us was terrific and what a player he's been.

Good luck to MA at his new club, l hope he gets much more game time and we see him again (hopefully in the EPL) at the KP.

Completely ridiculous decision, my only explanation for this is they have a winger pre lined up for a loan move if any of our two other wingers get injured

Lol...players are actually people you know!

And whats more FREE people not captive slaves!

The bloke gave fantastic service and wants to play and for his kids to watch him, what sort of b@stard would deny him that on the off chance of the occasional appearance?

Imagine the comments Rodgers would get for that!

Seems like a bizarre decision by the club.

Club Captain - leaving in a few months time.

Vice Captain - loaned out.

Rodgers, “We lack leaders on and off the pitch”

Also Rodgers “we desperately need more options on the right wing”

Signs new winger.

loans two existing out, keeps the one he’s been trying to get rid of for 2 years.

He was great player for us, a model pro and we got him on a free.  Hope we get a chance to give him a decent send off.

I respect him even more for wanting to play rather than sit on the bench collecting his wage, and it makes sense for the club too.

Good luck Keviiiiin!

Massively stupid decision. I can completely understand Marc wanting game time though so we have to accept his wishes, club legend for me and model professional. From a selfish fan perspective though this is a really stupid decision.
sure we have some players that can cover his position, but if Tete gets injured suddenly we are having to play Praet or Maddison there, which makes us much less effective, plus we are losing a massively experienced player that knows the club inside out at this point.

Best of luck Marc, the old guard are almost gone 😭

Alternatively, Rodgers should use him more. We look a better team with him in the side, always have.
