If we want the best chance to win this game he should play:

Iversen's performance yesterday finally earns him a chance to prove himself in the PL, even Rodgers praised him. However, knowing how Rodgers is, Ward will go straight back in. Also, Mendy has been one of our best performers yet Rodgers hates him.

??????????? He literally wasn't even in his goal for their first goal and his kicking was even worse than Ward.

You think Ward is a better keeper? Have you watched us this season?

 

If Ward played yesterday, we wouldn't have even been in contention by the time we scored.

I'm not even sure wanting it more does our predicament justice.

 

Wanting it more doesn't account for the sheer lack of quality. 

 

We can barely pass the ball 3 times without giving it away. We can't create anything. We're weak, mentally and physically. Constant individual mistakes from players who look like they've just won a raffle to be on the pitch.

 

It takes an opposition side to have an off day for us to get anything which papers over the cracks before we revert back to the mean. 

 

Lose against Saints and we're in massive trouble.

Yes I've watched us every game. Iversen is no better and although he made a decent save his position for the first goal was Sunday league under 11s embarrassing and his kicking was like he booting a balloon in the air each time. We need a keeper in the summer simple as that they're both not good enough.

Why do we either win the Premier League and break the top 6 against all odds or have laughably bad Sunday league style mistakes and horrific capitulations?

 

Why's it always like this? 

 

I can't take any more of this. I'm checking into rehab for the rest of the season.

Even if we do somehow manage to win a game, we have to score a bare minimum of 2.

Clean sheet, 0-1 win, staying up, everybody back to mine for beers.

...let's just stick to the 4-3-3 as we are now more accustomed to it!!!

 Let us see if Ricardo than overlap Tete and allow him the opportunity to come inside.

 Nacho stays as the false #9 for the rest of the season, with Barnes and Tete prepared to go ahead of him.

Maddison at 75% fitness will be better than any other option we have available. If he doesn't play, it will be a dodgy 1-0 with a Ward clanger.

Agree with nearly all of this but Ricardo isn't quite ready yet. He looked understandably rusty last night and we can't risk playing him twice in a matter of days. So I think Castagne will start in this game. Expect the rest of the team to be as you say above, except that we know Rodgers will stick with Ward until the end of time.

In this league,  if you can't win, then  don't lose.

Drawing games isn't that bad especially if you're playing teams below you.

 

Everyone was mad for us to beat forest away but a draw would have been a very decent result. 

 

A few more draws this season and we'd be a lot more comfortable.

 

A loss looks very likely but Saints need the 3 points desperately,  so don't let them bridge that gap.

After last night's pile of guff, from a team picked to save some for Saturday, we will have to perform better & probably will. :ph34r:

I still don't understand how we look so unfit, weak physically & mentally in so many games.

No matter who plays, running your backside off & showing a bit of fortitude should be the absolute minimum requirement.
