Can't see Stowell going for a complete change of approach, best hope is the players step up more to show they're not the ones that were the problem.

Not Stowell in charge is it? Adam Sandler right?

...he will change it up!!!

He would be one of the people the players would have been voicing their grievances to and how they would like to play.

4-3-3 is a solid formation for us but I suspect 4-2-3-1 would be their preferred formation.

Probably thinking thank Fuch we can get it down the wings and get a few goals now, rather than play tippy tappy back to each other round our box enticing the opposition to take the ball off us and score !

Largely don't care, but can't get out of my head that Madders will be pretty pissed off, as he was a big admirer of Rodgers and clearly bought into the whole 'everything will be just fine' position.  Be interesting to see what side we see from Madders now. He was poor against Palace, and we have seen periods from him in the past where he has been really bad when his head isn't in the right place.

Bring in Rafa and he’ll fall in line. Soccer AM boy loves a big name doesn’t he

Imagine the uproar on here if Soumaré, Thomas and Amartey all start vs Villa.

I personally think they should be given a chance along with all the players.

Not playing Rodgers borefest we hopefully will see a whole new squad to what we are used to.

We need to get right behind them now as if they are new signings. Then judge them in May.

I think some players not thanking him on socials is more advised from a fan relation point of view by the club. Maddison getting involved with fans has probably been spoken about too.

Any post now thanking him while we are sat 19th would get a barrage of abuse.

I don't think he'd necessarily lost the group. They all spoke highly of him. Even Kasper in his recent interview did. Probably quite a worrying thing that they liked him quite as much when we had that much failure for so long.

Or did Kasper speak highly of him so he didn’t burn his bridges, he said he was still in touch with Top and would love to return at some point. Maybe if the finances were better etc.

It will be interesting to see if he speaks about Leicester and Rodgers in the future if he still shares the same positivity for him

If you look at the occasional times we actually got it right, it looked as though the players ignored Rodgers tactics and countered at speed... something Rodgers hates; I can see us totally ditching this putrid Tiki taka nonsense and winning the next game.

It's disadvantage to Villa, they won't know what to expect

They won’t so don’t be too worried - watch and see the difference tomorrow - hopefully Vardy, Kel and Maddison in the same team and JV more like JV - Kasper, Albrighton are missed and JV was the only one to survive Rodgers - expect Evans to start too!

They stopped doing this as often since the West Brom game where he completely lost his head about our players daring to attack.

As usual he was just doing it for the headlines and positive spin but that was really where things started going downhill and were unrecoverable in terms of our playing style.

I'm always interested to see who gets picked, and who doesn't, when coaches get the interim job.

Considering it's Stowell again the choice of goalkeeper will be interesting.

Said this to the family after we beat Spurs 4-1. There was some good direct play there that i think Rodgers would have hated. No surprise that these parts of our game were stripped out quite quickly. Agree with you that Villa won't know what to get, which will make tomorrow fun!

Surprised Madders hasn't popped up yet with some nonsense.

Still nothing from anyone other than Riccy P?

I'm surprised, I know it's been suggested the Club have directed them, given our position. But, after Ranieri went, we were down the bottom of the table then, the players still posted messages of thanks for the title. Perhaps it's because it's so toxic against Rogers, rather than that we were more frustrated and sad with how things were at the end of Ranieri's time?

Surely, if they felt inclined and, that might be the key, they could muster a 'thanks for the FA Cup and Europe' trips, disappointing season so far but polite wish you well and some mumble about cracking on with the season?

There was such a backlash to the club as a whole after the Raineri sacking, as deserved as it was. More so on the players who were seen as getting rid of him behind his back. So I think they felt compelled to do that.

Even though the media seem blissfully unaware at our situation, the club aren't. They know just how much animosity there has been towards Rodgers for a long time and sitting in 19th isnt a good look.

As long as they realise the position that we’re in, couldn’t care if they miss/hated Brendan.

They need to roll their sleeves up and show an actual desire to win second balls, make a proactive run even if they know all they’re doing is opening up space for a team mate etc.

They’ve been doing so many basic things wrong in games lately and that whilst down to Brendan is also on the players to me.

I may be alone on this but find this group of players one of the most dislikable that we’ve had in a long time.

You are not on your own ! Most won't still be here at the season's end, complete rebuild needed. Would that as with Burnley be better in the Championship ?

Vestegaard, Amartey, Thomas, Bertrand backline. Soumare DM, Tete on Wing. Ward in net. Jobs a goodie.

No. Absolutely not. As we know all too well, it can be an absolute nightmare to get promoted.
