John Rudkin goes straight for the English Dishes in the Indian pass it on

Hahaha. Rudkin orders omelette from the Chinese.

We should desperately avoid anyone referred to as the 'Next Brendan Rodgers', the same way those wonderful street corner ladies down highfields should avoid the bloke named the 'Next Ted Bundy'.

Serious question, when it comes to recruitment of a new manager, who is responsible?

Would it be Rudkin? And Top has the final stamp of approval, would it be just a Rudkin decision, or would Rudkin take a short list of names to Top? Is there a committee of people who can look at it from all different angles?
I’d just love to know whom it falls upon, to pick the new manager, and then negotiate salary and contract length.

91 league games in charge:

33 wins

25 draws

33 losses

123 goals scored

130 goals conceded

124 points

1.36 points per match - 63 points in a 46 game season

63 points in the last 5 seasons gets you 10th*, 14th, 11th, 12th, 13th

No thanks.

I'd be alarmed if that record got you an interview, let alone got you the job.

Let’s be honest we need a different board or at least people who actually know football. Didn’t Kasper say he has unfinished business here? 😏

Completely agree, we need a different  voice and direction at board room level. The present one seem to have a lack of top level football knowledge, and are seemingly hesitant in making important decisive decisions,  and showing an alarming lack of ambition of late too. Worrying signs.

What a further joke we will become if we appoint this guy.

If we seem determined to repeat mistakes rather than learn from them the club absolutely deserves to plummet down the leagues. It’s the fans who don’t deserve this.

A new Brendan Rodgers, how depressing.

It is too cringeworthy for me, but for us old-school sadists who like to be told by the boss that you are f***ing useless and you're an excuse for a human being, well that ship has sailed.  You can't rant and shout abuse, or call players out anymore, it is considered bullying.  I'm not making light of mental health, but some players today would have a breakdown if they got the hair dryer treatment.

Let’s hope it is nothing more than Agents talk and rumours. However if there is any shred of truth in this and aligned with the interest in Potter, it does feel the club has a very unhealthy obsession over playing possession based football rather than learning from the mistakes of the last couple of years and reevaluating the style of play. Personally I would much prefer a hybrid where we still play good football but we play with high intensity.

To say I am deflated with this link, would be an understatement to say the very least.

He likes to play very much a keep possession type of football so looks good when it works but a real shambles when it doesn’t…

Basically another team that wants to be like Man City .

I mean Swansea did the double over us but  hasn’t been hard to do that against us !

Great news …. for any not STH who will actually want a season ticket to enable them to watch dull uninspiring football as we drift around midtable in the Championship
