It should also be used as a marker for any of our future sales this summer especially to premier Lge clubs, sadly the likes of Castagne & Praet only have Italian suitors who are just 1 above the Turkish clubs for pleading poverty. moore_94 Posted 2 July 2023 Posted 2 July 2023 @The Bear Looks like you are going to need a few new centre backs pretty soon? Coady gone, Collins pretty much gone, Kilman not far off either The £70m or so to do it should help though

Neither Kilman or Collins have looked very good at all last season. Collins couldn't even get in the team. Dawson was our best CB by an absolute mile. I've no problem with both of them going. In fact I can't beleive we've turned down €35m for Kilman and are holding out for €40m. He's probably worth about £10-15m in reality. Same with Collins.

Wymsey Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 As mentioned previously, Gerrard should've stayed at Rangers for a bit longer.
Corky Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 SSN talking about Newcastle "not looking like they've spent a fortune" before a graphic shows a net spend of £304 million.
BKLFox Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Arsenal reportedly paying Havertz £331k pwk so you’d expect Rice will be going in around that also so best part £170m & £662k pwk for 2 players and we were going under paying £70-80k….good luck Luton get in take what you can and get out.

The Bear Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 So, England U21 keeper James Trafford is going to Burnley for £19m from Man City. Last summer Bazunu signed for Southampton for £12m. That's £31m into the Man City coffers in the last twelve months for two academy keepers who had never played a minute above League One in English football before leaving Man City. Crazy stuff.

People dig them out for stuff that happened a decade ago, but they're undeniably one of the best run clubs in world football. All facets of the club are so strong.
MPH Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 If I was a Newcastle fan I’d be proper mad. Missing out on so many players because of 4-5 million difference whilst their owners have bought four clubs and are splashing the cash in the Saudi premier league! 1

Super_horns Posted 5 July 2023 Posted 5 July 2023 It’s the Mail bit sounds like they will let the PL do what they like with the Fa cup . https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12266013/FA-Cup-replays-stand-final-weekend-axed-radical-shake-up.html
Koke Posted 5 July 2023 Posted 5 July 2023 Mason Mount is a player I will never understand. I don't rate him that much but he's playing for Chelsea and Man Utd, two of the biggest clubs in Europe. After he's been found at United, I bet Spurs will take a punt on him.

I know it has been so in the past, but FA Cup final day used to have so much more prestige when it was by itself. This will just mean more rearrangements later in the season, and further backlog of fixtures. PL will control it, but you can guarantee the likes of Klopp, Pep, Arteta will all moan about fixture congestion if they reach the finals...
jayfox26 Posted 5 July 2023 Posted 5 July 2023 Can anyone explain to me why there is such a big fuss about Mason Mount? I can't say I have watched every single Chelsea game but every time I see him play he doesn't do much. To me he seems like one of the most over rated players in English football so I'm wondering if I am missing something here or if it just so happens that he's had an off day every time I've seen him.

Not a clue. Decent footballer but nothing special. Unless I've missed those games too.
The Bear Posted 5 July 2023 Posted 5 July 2023 He has a decent output in the Prem and is a hard worker for managers. Nothing special just decent and reliable.
