11wont happen as that'll be the first thing to be axed for financial reason but the rest are all needed.Rudkin should be sacked on the spot.

But the turnaround is tight. Some of this should be planned already part of our plan if we went down 4 games ago. I doubt that's been the case.

They don’t know what they’re doing so none of that will be done, #4 will confirm that once again as we’ll no doubt be absolutely clueless who to appoint.

Hope to break it to you, we won’t promoted in the first season. You’re looking at it with rose tinted glasses. It’s the same basis of idea which led people to think we were too good to be relegated.

doing whole sale changes usually results in turmoil for some time, and will mean it ll take a few years to sort ourself out

my hope is we don’t fall into chaos and tumble down the leagues

This is more likely the case.

The top don't have a clue and won't have any sort of plan to get us back up.

We are in trouble.

All depends on who comes in and takes charge, our next managerial appointment will make or break us. Wholesale changes and promotion are definitely possible, but it has to be the right manager to get everything aligned on and off the field.

I wouldn’t say going straight up is rose tinted glasses, or the same kind of complacent thoughts that have relegated us. This summer can bring the kind of changes that will build foundations for years to come and see major change at the club, yet your asking a lot of the current leadership and their track record over the past few years.

Listening to Pipes on RL after the game. He spoke so much sense.  He nailed the shite-show perfectly.

We need to move quickly. Not long til the start of the season. We’ve got so much to do in so little time but I don’t think our board are capable of doing it.

You’re living in the past. We’re a different club from the one in 2014-both financially and in terms of fan base.

Biggest fear is that by the time the fixtures come out (June 22) is that we’ll still have no manager (unless it’s Smith) the club will play hardball over Maddison and Barnes(ok to do that in the PL but not when you are desperate for funds to do a rebuild) and no new players and still have too many players we don’t want. I think the rapid reset we want is just not going to happen and we will sleepwalk into mid or lower table mediocrity

I really hope the club dispel those fears

Actually there’s a very good chance we do IF we get this summer right.

Ok, the realisation of Championship football has hit me hard this morning. Whilst on a personal level I'm quite content with a break from the sterility of the PL circus for a single season, I'm conscious that the feeling will only last so long and we need a return to the PL within a season.

Knowing that we have to move with pace as time is of the essence, it got me thinking about what Top's 'To Do' list might look like this morning. Here's my suggestions but please share your own:

1) Sort out mess at boardroom level by relieving JR of his duties and delegate control of footballing operations to SW in the interim.

2) Sound out suitable DoF candidates with a track record of success in a DoF role, or someone of intelligence who has an affiliation to the club with potential to grow into the role (Our equivalent of Edu at Arsenal).

3) Release Sadler and Stowell - Need to clear out all remnants of Rodgers.

4) Appoint a new manager urgently.

5) Sort out squad - Release out of contract players, sell those with a year remaining who want to go and those who aren't likely to contribute in the Championship.

6) Look to appoint a world class Strength and Conditioning coach and get training underway ASAP.

7) Target and sign new players. Need new CB, CM, CAM, AML, AMR as a minimum.

8) Review pre-season plans and ensure that they are aligned with a season in the Championship.

9) Root and branch review of on field footballing data analytics, recruitment analytics, sports psychology, and nutrition.

11) Review training pitches and possible link to injuries.

10) Conduct a systematic review of Youth set-up to ensure successful development of players from youth to 1st team.

11) Crack on with the stadium redevelopment to ensure infrastructure is in place for our PL return with broadening of our commercial revenue streams.

These are just some ideas that sprung to my mind but I'm pretty sure there are other priorities that I've overlooked, so I'm interested in hearing other people's thoughts as there's a lot that needs addressing with very little time.

I agree with every point. 11 is the only one that I’m unsure on, however, it will still happen. King Power want it for the exact reasons you mention. I’d probably go ahead with the building of the indoor arena.

But other than that I agree. This week should all be about discussing those options. Rudkin needs to be sacked. But I think Whelan has actually done a lot of good for the club, so she should remain and help rebuild the board.

There’s should be no break at all, I wouldn’t even give the players time off. I’d have them all back straight away, and start working on them. Whoever goes goes, but we can’t afford to kiss a beat. The longer we linger in the championship the bigger trouble we will be in.

If we can get a core squad together along with some young exciting players we should be able tie get back out. We’re a much bigger club than Newcastle, Villa or West Ham when they all went down, so let’s ensure we get it right please.

Top usually learns from his mistakes so I expect him to get to work right away.

Top had 7-8 months just ignoring what was obviously going to happen sticking with Fraudgers.

And ye think he'll get to work immediately trying to rectify things.

Fat chance.

Get ready for thumpings at Preston and Ipswich.

Agreed. We need to recruit half a squad and almost half a starting 11, with no money, and no strategy.

There is no chance that this club gets all that right, first time, while, shopping for frees and loans for a division we are not used to.

I'd love to say just bin it all off and start again but it's not that easy. Obviously anybody that doesn't wanna be here needs to go and any highly valued assets need to be sold on so we can create some kind of competitive squad. Really feel it's imperative we go for promotion in the first season.

Top needs to hold his hands up and either get more involved  or look to sell. He's gambled with our premier league status and lost so it's up to him to take the financial hit and fix this mess

The managerial appointment is a massive one but do we really trust the decision makers at the club to get it right? Can see them sticking with Deano purely out of laziness
