Popular Post 87fox Posted 15 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 15 August 2023 https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-make-offer-leicester-city-midfielder-player-looking-way-summer/ Sevilla have made an offer to sign Boubakary Soumare from Leicester City, according to reports from Spain. El Desmarque writes that as the player is not willing to play in the Championship next season, he is looking for a ‘way out’ from the Foxes this summer. It’s said Sevilla are ‘taking advantage of the situation’, and already placed their bid for the signing. They’re not the only in the race, though, as Turkish side Galatasaray made their move in the ‘last few hours’, and found the competition from the Spanish club. There are no details on how much money each of those clubs put on the table, although the story does make it sound like it’s Sevilla who have the lead for the signing. With El Desmarque highlighting that the La Liga side are moving ‘strongly’, it makes us curious to know more about their offer. Soumare has a contract with Leicester City running until 2026, and is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m. It’s already been said by the Italian media that €20m is precisely how much the Foxes demand for the move. 6
Popular Post MGLCFC Posted 15 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 15 August 2023 (edited) I'm not sure it's a case he's not prepared to play in the Championship, rather he's not good enough to play in the Championship with his absolutely dreadful attitude and work ethic. The bloke has an absolutely zero footballing brain. Edited 15 August 2023 by MGLCFC 6

Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 15 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 15 August 2023 They have recently spent £11m on Loic Bade who has flopped massively in recent seasons, similar fee would do me and wipes out anything we owe in future years from amortisation. 5

Popular Post brookfox Posted 15 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 15 August 2023 Apparently he was so desperate to leave he started running to Sevilla on the day we were relegated. He was last spotted just south of Wigston. 24
Rigga Posted 15 August 2023 Posted 15 August 2023 But there is a player in there… im sure he would do well for us this season. he played well at the back end of last season.. 😉😉😉

mozartfox Posted 15 August 2023 Posted 15 August 2023 We can forget doing business with the Turks. It will be a derisory offer of a loan with a Give Back Clause if it turns out to crap. Come on Seville get this done.

And I so hope they wise up going forward and learn from the last couple of years. He was unproven in the Premier League and very young at 22, supposedly wanted by a number BUT where on any planet had he proved himself here, so wasn't worth the fee but more than anything else the £80k per week, like Vestergaard. Leicester hierarchy, WALK AWAY from these deals where they are overpriced, missing out on 1 or 2 players won't make that difference, when they are UNPROVEN. And we'll find the right players that won't get us over a barrel financially and be part of the reason we went down, as we spent next to no money Aug 22. If we get anywhere near what we want, lets invest in a player that can take the club forward over the next 1-4 years. Edited 15 August 2023 by The boy Linacre spelling 1
Silebyfox_89 Posted 15 August 2023 Posted 15 August 2023 The player is pure dog muck, take whatever fee we can get and move on quickly. 1

Brighton paid £4.5m and can guarantee on half of what Soumare would be on yet ALL the stats before either player joined would have swung in Caicedo’s favor. One was sold for £115m and another one won’t go for a tenth of that 👀

Nobody will pay half of that based on the previous two years, he's barely had a single good game.
RoboFox Posted 15 August 2023 Posted 15 August 2023 There comes a time where you just have to cut your losses. Just take anything half reasonable. Get his wages off the books. Maresca clearly doesn't want anything to do with him. This dude makes the Adrian Silva signing look like an astute piece of long term investment.

To be fair to the club, he had just won Ligue 1 with LOSC Lille at the age of 22 and also had a Europa campaign. 1 hour ago, SafewayFox said: Exactly this. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. With a different manager handling his development, we may have had a better outcome. Like a number of players he has been missed managed.
