The Reds see the Englishman as someone who could come in and help bolster the midfield, with the 24-year-old having Premier League experience. Liverpool are expected to make further midfield additions this summer, having seen two bids for Romeo Lavia rejected already, while a move for Andre of Fluminense is being investigated. Sources close to the situation suggest that Liverpool's scouting team has been closely monitoring Dewsbury-Hall's progress over the past season, and the club's interest in him has grown substantially. It remains to be seen whether Leicester City would be open to negotiating a potential transfer for Dewsbury-Hall. The player's contract situation is that he is signed with the Foxes until 2027. The player is with the agency Wasserman, who Liverpool have a good relationship with. We are told he is not a direct alternative to Lavia, but could leapfrog him on the list if negotiations with Southampton continue to prove tricky, with the Saints holding firm on their £50m valuation. It comes after Jurgen Klopp spoke out about his side’s performance following the Reds 4-3 pre-season defeat to Bayern Munich in Singapore. He said: “Now we have to analyse. We need to look at what’s physical. We did a lot in training, especially yesterday in tough circumstances. You saw with the goals we conceded it was mainly down to a lack of concentration. "They were very similar situations. That’s not allowed so we need to analyse properly and I’ll have enough time to do that on the flight home. “I hate losing. When it happens, I feel it, but it’s pre-season and a strong opponent. “We’ve had two camps in a row and this is the last day. The most important information of all is that nobody got hurt. Leicester City academy graduate Dewsbury-Hall has become a first-team regular at the King Power Stadium in recent seasons. He had to head out on loan to prove himself, finding success with both Luton Town and Blackpool before coming into the Foxes’ starting XI. Since then, the 24-year-old has played 80 times for the club, managing five goals and five assists in the process. Now though, it has been said he’s the subject of surprise interest from Liverpool. Trusted reporter Talbot has reported for Anfield Watch that Dewsbury-Hall has been watched closely by Liverpool scouts and are looking at a possible move for the midfielder. Leicester City’s stance on a potential transfer is not mentioned, but the fact that he is under contract until 2027 should put them in a strong negotiating position. A key asset? Ahead of the Championship season, Dewsbury-Hall is someone who could really thrive in this division. He really impressed during his time on loan with Luton Town and after maturing further and developing his game in the Premier League, he could be a key component in Enzo Maresca’s side. Leicester City have some solid players in midfield but as far as true no.8s go, Dewsbury-Hall is probably the standout. That could make the Foxes reluctant to letting him go, though time will tell if Liverpool’s interest is to advance. The Anfield outfit certainly have the finances to get a deal done though it remains to be seen what Leicester’s asking price would be. The pulling power is strong too but with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia firmly in the sights, it could be that they don’t need Dewsbury-Hall on top of him and their existing midfielders. The club are obsessed with possession based, technical football and Dewsbury hall doesnt fit into that style for the long term. It would be crap to lose him as he is probably our best midfielder and will shine at this level. He's played lower leagues too and I think his experience will be really valuable to us. They need someone to sit at the base of their new midfield, doesn’t make sense to me. They will get Lavia, presumably the likes of Caicedo is too expensive.
