This time dumping sewage when they don't even need to! Time to revisit nationalising the Water Companies perhaps? 3

Nalis Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 (edited) Are you a Tory who lost a Tamworth by election in a safe Tory seat? | | YES | | FVCK OFF Edited 20 October 2023 by Nalis 2
Ginger_Filbert Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 Both lost seats were by less of a margin than Reform received. Protest votes FTW.
Lionator Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 A lot of my friends on the middle class left will discover today that the electorate don’t care about Labour’s stance on a foreign war when everything here is broken. 2
st albans fox Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 The tories spend much of their time destroying themselves from within when things are going well (generally done less publicly than with Labour) imagine what’s in store for the next year facing destruction at the GE - Rishi has a lot on his plate and expect their policies to become ever stranger and more radical as they attempt to woo various groups

And shame on them for potentially enabling another five years of conservative rule on that basis, too. This country needs change. It desperately needs a change of government to try and freshen everything up. Political discourse, morale, finances, public services. The fact we will have to wait nearly a year for it to happen is the biggest issue tbh. 8
Zear0 Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 Will the party let Rish! and his culture war cabal even get to the next election?

I think he'll cling on whatever now, even if this gang of Liz Truss Loons (not convinced they exist in as big a number claimed) mobilise and mean he no longer has a majority.

Sampson Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 They’ve already had 3 leaders since the last election and 5 leaders since 2016, Tories always sell themselves as being stable leadership, so another leader change just adds to their current perception of chaos. I don’t think another leadership change does them any favours whatsoever. I think they already know they’ve lost and are probably thinking more about how to get back into power in 2029/30 instead.

Voll Blau Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 Wouldn't be too thrilled with this behaviour if I were a Tory voter.
David Hankey Posted 20 October 2023 Posted 20 October 2023 No surprise in these by-election results. I'm just amazed so many still voted for the Conservatives. Let's have a General Election now, get the other mob in and hope they do a better job than how they left things in 2010.
