He can look clumsy and fluff the odd sitter, but quite simply the team has functioned better as a whole with Daka leading the line, and the stats bear that out.

Also the press was fantastic when he was on.

 

It was a bad miss but he was also part of some good stuff for us.

Good indicator of someone's lack of footballing intelligence if you don't rate Daka. Poor finish Friday night but played well, as he has done for the most part this season. The abuse he's been getting on social media is embarrassing.

The guy could have played every game, scored 30, assisted 20 etc and missed a couple of howlers and people would focus on those. Haters gonna hate.

 

It was a bad miss but every other player seems to get a pass. Not a mention of Stephy’s for example? 
 

Our attack is so much better when he’s on. The staff should be working with him on his finishing as a bit more consistency and to cut out the odd howler and he’ll have the haters gritting their teeth seething!

Apologies, you are of course correct, goals against mediocre sides don't count. If you'd also like to enlighten me about all the big sides he hasn't scored against this season in the 12 games he's played? (One of which was about a minute against Sunderland)

Don’t see the correlation to your original point of ‘that’s about it’ because he does bring more. He’s the most suitable player to the system we are playing. 
 

If your point was solely that his goalscoring needs to be better, I’d agree.
 

The first goal doesn’t happen without him. His actual chance was down to him laying it off and getting Leeds defence turned.

You're missing the point, he's played in games against two genuinely good sides Ipswich and Leeds that's it in the 12 he's featured, so who else is he meant to score against, when a majority of his game time has been against dross?

To add he got assists in both games and had one incorrectly ruled out against Leeds.

Patson’s goal contributions if he scored and assisted at the same rate that he has in his 11 game sample size, all season.

obviously it is never this simple but think the context here is important. He’s averaging a goal contribution a game. That’s incredibly impressive.

In those 11 games he has started we have only played 3 teams in the top half of the table

whats vardys record against teams in the bottom 12?

I do not think he is the future here but hopefully he can prove me wrong by getting a brace this weekend and start banging them in between now and the end of the season, I'd gladly eat humble pie if he could do that.

73 percent of games he has played in have been against teams in the bottom 12.

 

When people are saying he is the best fit for the system based on his current stats they are a little skewed due to the fortunate run of games against bottom 12 teams.

Daka is not pl is he. His link up play is good...  his finishing is woeful
