Seems like I'm one of the fortunate ones being a pensioner.😊

Don't think it's right though that they should charge £25 for a piece of plastic with a chip in it!

Gave up my season ticket last season due to anxiety issues.

 

Looking back I’m glad I did, because the way the club operates nowadays and treats the fans is quite frankly crap.

Probably a member with enough points to be well over the threshold cutoff for a ST next season.

 

I'm in the same boat with 50+ points and was really looking forward to the physical card for my first ST.

Half tempted to pay the £25, but probably won't out of principle.

Funny thing is, if they'd made it a 10% rise and kept physical cards free, there would probably be less outrage and make the club even more money overall.

So those on the Direct Debit - we have to do nothing at all? It's all done automatically?

 

(Sorry first year ST on the direct debit, apologies it it's a noob question.

I totally understand the ways they'd want to protect a system that encourages more sales of tickets, but it's a strange policy when there's never any capacity for extra fans. I was sat next to 3 empty seats in C1 on Saturday and I know they weren't on sale.

To charge £25 for a season card is exploitation bordering on extortion.

 

Whoever it was at the club made this decision should be named and shamed.

 

I just hope they read - or are made aware of - the disgust on here and have a very restless night's sleep.

You just have to tick a box I think and it’s done.

Yes it’ll just renew unless you’ve missed 3 direct debit payments in which case you’ll have paid an extra £45 in fees and will now have to pay it all upfront.

 

Everyone is loaded these days with steady incomes so shouldn’t be a problem either way ….

Yep...Gave mine up in October last year,due to moving house and not enjoying going down there any more....ST holder for 20 years.....but something about the club is just not right.Watch every game from home and can honestly say don't miss "the live match experiance"

Once again, it’s the completely disingenuous nature of it that irks me the most.

Citing being environmentally friendlier as a key reason, yet in the next breath saying they will need to send out new cards. Leaving cards as they are = no further plastic produced.

They think we are stupid, simple as that. Pure profiteering

i kept mine going but you made a good call on all you have posted, yes were treated crap and as for your first reasons hope your doing ok . take care kingfox.

For the first time in nearly 40 years I'm thinking of doing the same. Just doesn't feel the same somehow now and feel disconnected to the place. The mealy mouth corporate nonsense they come out with now is starting to really annoy me, do they honestly think people believe their utter crap.

They also mention keeping things 'affordable and accessible'. 

 

Affordable would equate to not charging fans an unnecessary £25.

Accessible would mean allowing fans to keep their physical season cards and not making it almost mandatory to have a digital card...
