I wonder if this was part of the problem with Rodgers? And it could be where a lot of the delusions came from within the squad? Being a good psychological manager is good until it needs freshening up after a couple of years and Brendan proved that he couldn’t do that and/or the board threw him under the bus with regard to new players.

Yeah definitely, when it's going well it can be a brilliant model

But as we saw, when it gets stale it can be very tough to fix

We are not in the relegation zone, and we have a game in hand on most teams below us. We will be fine!

Thanks Madders

Not a chance the PL deducted points for a championship offence.

As seen with Sheffield United

Forest? Their FFP allowance was reduced due to their 2 years in the Championship and 1 yr in the PL?

Nope.

Their actually PSR offence was committed in the PL season, the championship years are included in the calculation as years -3 and - 2 but they went over the limit in year -1.

It that makes sense.

Didnt see a lot wrong with that.

Must have blown the whistle before the ball was struck?  Bad decision by the referee rather than VAR.

He blew it after the ball was struck, but before it hit the net I think. Definitely after the ball was struck.

It’s a three year rolling total - I think it’s irrelevant that year 3 was in the champ

Exactly

They didn’t break three year rolling psr in the championship - that occurred end of their first year in PL.

Sort of Irrelevant if the var doesn’t think was a clear error to give the foul against hughes

Surely it's relevant as if he hadn't blown the whistle so early, the goal may have been allowed with VAR getting involved?

Ref blew too early apparently.

The answer to Eze's disallowed goal from the Premier League Match Centre on X.

They said: "The referee awards a free-kick to Brentford a foul by Hughes on Collins. The whistle was blown before the ball entered the goal, so VAR cannot intervene and the referee’s call stands."

Why did the referee blow? Looked a perfectly good goal to me
