At the risk of upsetting the ‘Give him more time’ crowd, not that this would lose me any sleep, this is precisely what a number of us predicted when he was announced as being in the mix. You can’t be laissez-faire when you’re a PL manager, and you can’t impose your will if you have a black hole for a personality. Was a shockingly shite appointment and will never manage at this level again.

RVN is imposing from the off - his dress, his poise, his reassuringly Dutch height, his achievements and self-confidence. He knows what he wants yet reads the game and can transition due to obstacles. Players like BEK thrive under managers like this.

You should be in cheese marketing.  "Edam.  reassuringly Dutch"

I love that he's started to get stuck in. First couple of games he looked like a lost puppy. I think a 3 of him, Buonanotte and whichever winger is needed for the occasion is the way to go.

Just been catching up on some of his interviews before and after the West Ham match and it’s exactly how you've put it. He’s affable, charismatic, confident. You know he commands respect when he walks in the room

Cooper can probably take a club on its arse in the championship and instil a bit of believe in them. That’s his level and there’s nothing wrong with that. But he’ll never be directly employed into a premier league vacancy again. So far out of his depth it was scary

All Dutch people are tall. All tall people command greater respect than shorter ones. I think this is because dragarses live their lives closer to hell and get all pugilistic in car parks and queues.

You know what you’re getting with a tall Dutch bloke: chips and mayonnaise, lager and a little bit of casual racism.

You got Netherlands confused with Belgium there.

The majority of Belgians are not statuesque, more they resemble bit part characters in Asterix tomes - with ruddy complexions and bloody minds. You don’t want a Belgian manager. No sir.

What a guy that was me hugging him when he scored

What I liked about that was that he’d just scored his first prem goal was buzzing yet he still had time for you.

Plus you wasted about 5 minutes of time lol

BEK is starting to look the business. Composure, a little bit of pace, killer passes. Did he go off injured or with cramp?

Seen few people mention cramp. Seemed ok after and not heard anything else.
