Fair play to the club for at least trying to give him a chance, but also not letting it drag on and being fairly proactive. It’s never easy to make these decisions and to strike a balance, but I think they have done here. Cheers Rudders.

TJB-fox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 ‘Disconnect with the players’ very interesting quote - definitely this that got him the chop ultimately. 1
Tielemans63 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Relieved. Was a terrible appointment that was never going to work. I'm loathe to give credit to those to those who thought this was a good appointment, but at least they have acted relatively soon this time. 1

martyn Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Correct decision. Was an uninspiring appointment from the get go but didn't think he'd be as evidently out of his depth as transpired. 1
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Good on them acting this early. It’s taken me by surprise, albeit a very pleasant one
Skidmark Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Backed it out at 18/1 last week. Lovely return off 6 quid. Moyes, Mourinho, Potter. Go fetch. I'd imagine the club have already had contact with someone and are close to appointing. 1
Popular Post Guest Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 I am staggered, thought he'd be here a good few weeks yet. Not sure why we'd wait until after the international break but better late than never. Could tell from him lashing out at the officials again that he was well out of ideas and if Vardy's reaction when he came off was representative of the how the squad were feeling then that probably pushed him over the edge. For all that he is obviously a bit crap and his whining about referees made him look like a bell, I struggle to muster any real negative feeling towards him. We decided to give the job to someone who isn't very good and surprise, he wasn't very good at it. It was like having Dean Smith back. 10

Jazzy_Jeff Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Surprised at the timing but glad they’ve been brave and made the change early. Can only assume the new man is a done deal. 1
EastAnglianFox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 The last straw for Top was seeing a Russell Martin team actually try to score a goal! God bless you Russell and your girlfriends glorious melons what a day!! 2
masterg59 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Didn't see that coming, thought he'd be here until January at least. So happy now, time to open a bottle.
fox_favourite Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 What would be better of it said we "are also looking for a new director of Football as Rudkin has left the club to take us in a new direction." 1
ARTY_FOX Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 I'm sure he's a nice bloke but he was doing an awful job
Finnegan Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Vacamion Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Came in here expecting to see a celebratory mood. Was not disappointed. 1
CosbehFox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Long due. Feel for the bloke as an individual but wasn’t good enough and that we’ve made the jump now tells me someone has said they fancy it 1
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Can we keep the Cooper Out thread for the bantz?
FoxesWalk Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Probably the right call, depending who we bring in… But we are still ****ed, the squad is too thin, and not good enough.
