MancFox24 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 It was always a strange appointment. We were very timid in our approach and I think we've probably got more points than our performances deserve. Having said that, I think this squad has relegation written all over it no matter who they get in

DerbyshireFox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Seemed a decent guy, but pleasantly surprised the board have acted and pulled the trigger. Didn’t think they’d have the guts to do it. Why they left it until after the international break I don’t know. Clear to see from the stands the lack of connection with the team, particularly in the lack of coherent style of play, but body language was telling. Hopefully they’ve done proper due diligence this time, and have a strong manager with a clear style of play in place.
Bilo Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Is this....action? The right action at the right time?
Unabomber Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Wouldn’t surprise me if this was another Pearson scenario where he’s not actually been sacked and we’ve ****ed up the comms 1

Bert Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 What I don’t get is why not in the international break?
RowlattsFox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Normally I'd like a manager to be given longer but this one just felt so inevitable it may as well be now. But to do it one week after an international break is another example of the disorganisation and reactiveness of the whole setup. I think fans were always going to be his on his back, and were just waiting for a reason but he hasn't helped himself obviously. Need to get this right but if they don't go for Moyes I'd be surprised.
Tuna Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Journos clearly been briefed though 'disconnect with fans and players' keeps being mentioned.

Tielemans63 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 I'm hoping / wondering if it's happened now because the replacement is ready and imminent, and we didn't want to lose whoever it is to other clubs thinking of sacking their manager.* *I realise that this is the LCFC board we're talking about here 1

Pinfox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 It was not even toxic under Cooper, most people were not bothered about him .. I’m a ST holder and thought yesterday I can’t wasting my time going to another game under him. one of the most irrelevant managers in our history 1

Disconnect from the fans doesn't bother me. Plenty of unpopular managers have done well. Him not getting on with players makes the job untenable. You cannot succeed with key players not on board. 2

Number 6 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Missing the international break will only prove an issue if we delay getting the replacement in. In he's in swiftly then no drama.
