Knocked it around nicely and no howlers, so far so good , but no shots on target from either side tells it as it is.

We've already seen good performances don't mean anything, so I don't care how awful this game is, but please nick a horrid 1-0.

 

Even draws aren't doing a great deal for us. We could draw every game until the end of the season and have no guarantees we'd stay up!

First 5-10 mins of the 2nd half is crucial. Always seem to be vulnerable and lacking focus just after half-time.

Dare I say it, even Cooper got the majority of team selection calls right eventually. Will Ruud?

 

Mavididi like Ayew has only really been dangerous from the bench this season.

Mavididi just isn't a premier league player I'm afraid. But overall an ok performance so far

First 35 minutes of the first half, thought we were good. After 35, Villa came into it and apart from at the end, I think we’ve defended well. 
 

For an away performance, I think that 35-40 minutes has been organised, compact and still inventive (or an attempt to be inventive) which for me is very positive. A few rash clearances and that ball over the top (like wolves) that nearly caught us out. But otherwise ok.
 

we look like a structured team. Important not to lose that in the second half. I take a lot of heart from that first half performance. Defend properly.
