No it isn't . As a Director he has his own Salary  like any Director in any Company. He's entitled to spend his Salary any way he likes just like you or me.

He's most likely paid off some of the Maquere loans. Instead of leaving it for the Club to continue paying for the next how many years.

Some could argue that it's his own fault for getting us into the current mess but that's aseparate issue.

Thought they were mainly on Facebook but plenty seem to have turned up here as well.

Tbf it doesn’t help when you’ve got weapons like Ian Stringer coming out and defending Top at any opportunity.

massive well done to him

but all due respect, it feels like something thats just been done to try distract the fans and try and win them back over

And it works. Look at the Facebook comments. King Power FC footsoldiers ready to lay down their lives for the leader.

He could put a fiver in and that lot would be applauding. "Other owners only went to £2.75, so lucky to have him!"

And how is it a separate issue then?

He's covering for his own ineptitude. Can't believe I'm going to defend Rudkin, but the problem is just the players we signed and the salaries they are on but also the complete lack of commercial skill displayed by Top and his executive team (which includes Rudkin). Think about the success we had and the fact Leicester City became 'the' club outside of the big 6, with massively increased global fanbase and the fact that our sponsorship/commercial income was pathetic, and the decision to build seagrave before the stadium expansion.

Rudkin is the tip of the iceberg. If we didn't have utter morons running the club all over, we'd never be in this mess.

I pray this is an attempt to reduce the clubs debt to make us a more attractive to sell. I know that’s not the reality though.

1. The club owes the money to KP and Top as a loan

or

2. The loan is converted into shares so there are more shares to buy out in a takeover

It’s the same thing. The club is neither more nor less attractive to buyers, the value of debt still exists.

Is that about 300m he's wiped and yet still keeps the same staff in place that are responsible for it lol

Sound that he's not an utter ***** and he's not putting the club in jeopardy. It's a low bar though.

Maybe let's spend within our means now?

Maybe him and the "fans" can stop obsessing with trying to financially compete with teams that earn 4x as much.

At some point he's not going to be able to do this. So he needs to either start taking his role seriously are find someone that can/will.

Yes it's a positive but it's not hiding the fact that club is an absolute shambles. The timing is sketchy as well. Could be to get ahead of the PL rules. Could be an attempt to appease fans. Could be both. Either way, the club is still utterly stinking and this won't change that.

I can’t imagine someone would write off £125m of debts to appease fans due to this moment of time. Whatever you currently think about him it’s a great thing to do.

He’s done it because of a PL rule change and then the club have maximised the PR out of it

But he still did it and it’ll save some interest every year. Try seeing tube positive.

its a spiral of negativity on here, if we won th FA cup posters would start moaning that we’d struggle in Europe the following season rather than celebrate the moment.

I think most on here would Celebrate the moment if we we were not in this mess now......Let's just say the club was run properly and we have the money that Top is putting in to buy players/get on with ground expansion.......then i'd be happy, but we are a basket case of a club at the moment.
