stu Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 (edited) Akpom can go to France or England. After it was previously announced that Sunderland hopes to hire him, Leicester City and Olympique Marseille are now also very concrete. At Leicester City, Akpom would come to work under former top striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. Akpom, who is the third striker behind Brian Brobbey and Wout Weghorst, played several times as an occasional left winger. Edited 30 January 2025 by Finnegan
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Well we know he’s decent at the level below us. Wouldn’t be against this, although I thought he was younger than 29… still that’s his prime, not a pensioner yet!

fox_favourite Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 (edited) Not massively keen on this one. He was good at Middlesbrough, but by the looks of it been meh in meh leagues. I think we need to look somewhere else if I'm honest. Edited 28 January 2025 by fox_favourite
LestaLad Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Actually a decent source as well so must be something in this. 1
Popular Post Stopharage Posted 28 January 2025 Popular Post Posted 28 January 2025 I'd rather we signed Chuba Pringles. 19
Blanchflower78 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Smacks of all other strikers we sign. Why break the mould. 3 year deal and crying out to shift him in May
DerbyshireFox Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 As expected, having to fish at the bottom of the barrel 1
AjcW Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 How many times have we been linked to this ****???? 1
Fox85 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Nothing to worry about. We are not making any signings this window. The RB is all we will be getting. I said the other day that win against spurs would of confirmed with rudkin no signings are needed. 2 1

coolhandfox Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 I think people need to realise we are shopping in the bargain bin.
-sodapop Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Had a feeling this one would pop up. I get that he's a decent hold-up striker but I'd only do a loan 2
kingfox Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Thought we may have signed him in the summer tbf. He was quality in the Championship for Middlesbrough in the 22/23 season. Even last season for Ajax despite not being a regular starter, his underlying goalscoring data was some of the best in the Eredivisie. Has dropped off again this season though, while throughout his career you never really knew what to expect from him, a lot of ups and downs. Wouldn’t be surprised if he does sign as he has certain attributes that I think we need, but can understand why fans would be underwhelmed by him.

lcfcsnow Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 One good season in the championship at 29 years old
