Not seen a mention of it here but allegedly, Sheffield United’s owners have contacted Sheffield Wednesday administrators, enquiring about purchasing the club, with the view to merging them into one Sheffield club. Gross.

Bloomberg news reported that the Sheffield Utd owners (a biotec company) are looking

to raise capital after running into challenges at the club.

This makes it a good league not a bad one.

It does. I look back to 23/24 and you had four teams who were miles above everyone else, this season it’s certainly more open.

I still have a feeling Coventry will have a wobble too, I really can’t predict who will finish where.

How do you know that?

A 12 point deduction is possible particularly as we don’t seem to have cooperated with the investigation from what I have read. Even a lesser deduction could put us in relegation trouble.

i heard we're getting 40 point deduction.

Well technically we have already suffered a worse punishment having a Lawyer as a manager so maybe the EFL might look at this and not give us any point deduction.

We have to ride this season out.

Hopefully have enough to stay up.

Wait for all the maverick contracts to run down and then we need to build with young hungry players and a manager to suit.

Until then this is the shite we have...

But we're then left with our chocolate teapot owner....

Could a statto confirm if this is the lowest position we have been in for years?

As far as I can tell, lowest since 12/13 when we were 17th but that was after only three games. Last time we were this low a fair way into the season would have been 10/11 when Sousa was sacked with us bottom after nine games and then another poor run had us 17th in December.
