Let’s hope this time we actually turn up. Our away performance was one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen

We should've been 2 up by half time and was down to ten men in the first half.. then had 2 great chances to extend the lead after half time.. we just collapsed in the last 15 mins.. shattered being a man down I guess

And the following season a good chance for midlands derbies against Mansfield, Peterborough, Northampton, Port Vale, Walsall, Stoke, Cambridge, Crewe and Notts. County!

Bit of a longshot that one lol

Having watched some of the play off game last night I don’t think we have anything to worry about regarding a top 6 finish

I didn't have many concerns anyway but it was just re-affirmed by last night. The actual quality on display was difficult to watch. Never seen a game so stop/start from injuries, fouls etc. Madley let nothing go, was awful as a spectacle for 119 minutes until that goal ha!

Sheff utd will have to have a massive off day not to win that final.

Their games have been close this season, not sure it will be a white wash people are suggesting.

Weren't we winning and pretty much on top before Fatawu got sent off?

Wonder if we'll put in a cheeky bid for Rudoni. KDH's goals and assists will be a massive loss this season and he certainly appears to have the gift of providing and scoring goals at this level.

If Sunderland make it , they'll be well equipped for the prem , with all the diving and play acting.

Only works if you are big 6 mate.

If we can prize away Frank Lampard from Coventry would be a good move

Lampard might actually turn out to be a decent manager - his record has been blemished by some odd choices he's made, such as agreeing to manage Chelsea (the 2nd time) and Everton when they were both basket cases. However I'm happy to watch his progress from afar - it would be too much of a risk for us.

Lampard has taken a top 6 team and got them into the top 6 to be fair. Not really sure what happened at the start of the season, but it's clearly a very capable squad that probably should have been challenging for that "best of the rest" outside of the top 3.

I assume things just went stale under Robins at the start of this term?

Not to undermine the fact he got them there, especially with a starting handicap, but I don't think it's the miracle that some are making it out to be.

Ipswich and Southampton in much better shape than us. Then there's playoff losing teams (Sunderland? Coventry) who are looking OK. Wrexham and Birmingham are smartly backed by a lot of money - I'm no accountant, but due to profit & loss based rules I imagine their spending power this summer isn't hugely less than ours.

Then remember our squad is much worse than when we last went down and we don't have £90m worth of players to cash in on...

Too many unknowns for us (Manager and incomings and outgoings) but I think Autos are not a safe bet, plus I don't trust the current recruitment regime at all

We know nothing until managers are announced / moved on and each side deals with a big chunk of outgoings.

But i fail to see how Southampton are in better shape than us? How have you worked that one out.

I guess I just mean Southampton's recruitment is likely better than ours and they have more sellable players for player trading. And they're likely getting Rohl ahead of us.

Southampton are way behind given how they played against us recently. Ipswich are on same points as us. Perhaps all those Championship players they signed will come good. Feels like they've lost their momentum.

The same Southampton that we easily beat? And we’re shit….

Re - Ipswich, i'm not sure McKenna is a dead cert for next season either, well at least not all of it.

He'll be the first on bottom half of prem list if anyone gets off to a bad start. His stock was very high last summer and I think there's been a continued love in for him this season, despite results.

There's a lot of uncertainty around Marco Silva at Fulham too (saudi), could see him being an option there.

2 one-off games not necessarily reflective of each club's playing squad, manager situation and recruitment system for next season

It also shows what utter guff people talk on here when they say we could struggle next season when you look at players they lost.

We could lose 10 players and still easily piss this shit league.

Someone give me a beep beep. All aboard HMS PISS THE LEAGUE once more!
