TBF though, Percy also named Newcastle as being interested and thats looking more and more like a tactic to get the Jacob Ramsey move done.

Percy passes on what he hears but what he hears may sometimes have alterior motives behind it from the person he heard it from.

Tbf the Newcastle interest being reported serves a purpose, I’m not sure reporting the release clause ending serves anyone, puts a deadline on a big move for BEK and his agent, highlights the release clauses existence for us and gives a hard deadline in like 3 days time for interested teams. So I’m not sure that this would be reported without some truth to it

His agent has been hawking him around and linking him to premier league clubs left, right and centre, he has been linked to Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, West Ham, Sunderland, Wolves and Spurs, every one of those clubs will be fully aware of financial package wage wise to bring him in so if a club does decide to proceed they could easily trigger the release clause before Friday already comfortable in the knowledge that a deal in regards to personal terms are already in place.

I think it will be Leeds tomorrow or Friday who get him, I think he has agreed a deal in principle but with agreement he wants to explore all available options ahead of Friday but if nothing else materialises then he goes to Leeds.

Well, potentially we were thinking, if we were gonna lose him we should try and ensure it happens by a certain date to give us time to replace him so we leaked that his releas clause ended 2 weeks before deadline day. Purely speculation of course.

You think we have any intention of replacing him?!

I would hope so but I will grant you, that hope is dwindling. Rapidly.

West Ham are using Bilal to push Southampton into selling Mateus Fernandes, Southampton have already rejected £30 they want atleast £50m...we are in another situation like Everton wanting Dibling but mentioning Fatuwa, yet the 2 players of ours will be rated at the same price as the other 2 or potentially higher so i guess down to who blinks 1st. Obviously subject to release clause & date for Bilal but can't see anything being agreed in 2 days so release clause should be off the table & we talking same money.

think the release is probably around 32mil, either way, does seem a strange one but then again WHU are looking at a number of players, so its sound theyd look at BEK too,

only thing with this one, theyll have to pay most if not all the release clause upfront

That seems to be the growing consensus among the self-styled insider cabal on twitter.

Agreed a deal in principle, with who, the player or the club, or both?

What’s Buenotti doing this season?

Buonanotte?

He certainly won’t be entertaining the idea of coming here.

Of his clause is between £25/30m of the kings, and he genuinely has a week of his clause, why would you pay that for him, when you could chance your arm at a low ball wouldn’t you? If you’re a buying club you’d rather wait I think and chuck in a cheeky low offer. You wouldn’t pay that clause unless you were really desperate, we know how good he is, but his stats for last season probably won’t be enough to tempt a clause activation in my opinion.

It would be a massive gamble if you really wanted him. There’s far more chance we’ll put the price up than bring it down.
