I'm also positive for the season but then I think if we go up we'll still have major issues, possibly bigger than we have now. And instantly my excitement is gone. 😒

I think if we can offload the high earners, blood the youngsters in properly and return to our old model of bargain hunting in lesser watched leagues around Europe, we'll certainly be in a better financial situation this season and therefore have a bit more bunce to spend as and when we do go up.

Yes this is the way forward but it will mean a full rebuild next summer. We're talking about 14-15 new players maybe? A young team full of thirsty talents. Good luck with that with our current scouting team.

Priority is for the club to get sold, we can no longer be run long term by these charlatans.

Chansiri might be looking for a new club soon

I agree for me, until rudkin goes promotion is pointless. Year or two in the championship is not a bad thing.

The amount of talent coming through Seagrave right now should help lessen dependence on transfers and, begrudgingly, I'd admit the outgoings have been good business. £11m in fees and probably £400k plus a week off the wage bill is a solid start considering we haven't lost anyone who looks critical next season yet.

A better financial situation means that we can afford to play a bit of hard ball with players like Hermansen and BEK, who won't be on enormous wages but will command big fees if we do sell. This gives genuine elasticity if we want to bring in a couple of players we do need, and even more so if we can shift the likes of Soumare, Faes, BDCR etc.

Ricardo won’t be fit so it’ll be Hamza at right back and Soumare next to Winks

If Soumare starts I will kick right off.

Soumare will look like Yaya Toure in the championship, mark my words.

This is my fear. He will have a great 6 months and we will offer him a new contract only for him to be sh!t again for the next 3 years.

New manager has helped no end in increasing positivity, but if this happens he will go right down in my opinion. Over recent seasons Soumaré has bought just one thing to this team - relegation. He needs to go - but surely no DOF is going to think: 'hmmmm...  just what we need to bolster our team!' - NO WAY!

They Want There Wednesday Back.

For a couple of minutes forget the match rivalry and support the lads n lasses that have travelled.

We think we have it bad. Put your feet in the shoes of an Owl for a few minutes.

If you're putting shoes on an owl, you need sectioning.

The traffic around the city at 6pm on a Sunday is crazy as we all well know.

I think there's an argument to be made that we have a much better squad that when we were last relegated, as well as having a lot more potential in this Squad.

The likes of Hermansen, Fatawu and Mavididi were unknowns going into that Season, and I think they've all improved significantly since then. You could probably say the same about McAteer. Thomas/Choudhury have benefited from great game time at the end of the previous season. BEK was a positive from last season, and if he stays, is capable of being a player at the next level.

For a lot of players, who are still 24 and under, like Kristiansen, Thomas, Okoli, Skipp etc, this could be the making of them. The same goes for Nelson, Alves, Monga, Stolarczyk etc, who we should acknowledge, should be loaned out to this level, if we were at the level above.

I've seen an energy in pre season that has reenergised me, from a fan who was pretty disillusioned during last Season.

Even Jordan Ayew, whom it is popular to dislike, has a lot of qualities he can bring. Whilst Vardy is possibly our greatest ever player, in the last 3/4/5 years, his flaws were exposed just as much as Ayew's have been. In my genuine opinion, in a side with a lot of energy and runners wanting to get beyond the striker, Ayew is a better option than Vardy.

Everyone will be rushing to get home to listen to the conclusion of the Pepsi chart show no doubt, so you can’t blame them.
