I think the SW players will play on Sunday and will be absolutely ‘at it’ to prove points. We would be naive to assume anything else and cannot believe there is any other expectation in our players’ heads. We will be in a real fight and must be prepared for that.

Spot on! I bet most of their remaining players will just be itching to get back on the pitch again.

Tactically and physically, they might not be up to scratch. But I doubt we'll see any lack of effort, and need to be cautious. We've been stung more than once in fixtures like these.

Classic shop window for some of them as well.

They'll definitely be really up for it on Sunday...real banana skin.

Yup. Sort of game where our team tries to implement a strategy but misfires in the final 3rd, and they defend like heros and score 2 bangers.

I really don't understand where you are getting that from, the last paragraph literally reads as "to avoid us refusing to play again the club need to pay us and all the staff"

"The decision taken by players to withdraw from the planned friendly with Burnley was not taken lightly....."

"we want to reassure fans that there has not been, and will not be, any downing of tools on the training ground"

"We want our focus to be fully on what happens on the pitch"

"We want the situation addressed as soon as possible so decisions taken like the one to not play against Burnley are avoided in the future"

To me, the whole statement reads as a threat to the chairman.

Wont rule out them refusing to play in the future, but 100% the game on Sunday will go ahead. Guaranteed.

Can they throw in a few chants of "Rudkin is cvnt"? Our fans certainly won't

Did you go to any games last season or do you just like to complain because it was sung pretty much in everyone of the last 10 home matches pretty loudly

I must've missed that one. Sorry

Reading some of the comments from Lyon fans it sounds like this is an owner they really dont want. Worst than what they already have?

Article in the Athletic today made it pretty clear that Textor is another chancer whose reach far exceeds his financial grasp. His backers are losing money and lawyering up.

Not sure he could show Chansiri enough real money to get Wednesday.

For lots of reasons you'd expect this to be a pretty good/spicy atmosphere. Need to keep our heads on the pitch and focus on getting the 3pts and not the noise around the match.

Who is left out of the first team players and coaching staff? Transfermarkt only lists 16 players for their U21's, and 3 of them are goalkeepers.

Expecting a few arount Monga's age to roll out here and hopefully get themselves in the shop window for a route out.

Is this all political back home.

The #Truth about Thailand  allowing other fans to demonstrate against a fellow owner and countryman.

Ffs Top don't care about us why would he care about Wednesday. Something really not right about this.

What's the chance his breaks fail when he next goes home 😆 🤣 😂 😹

I don't think they like each other.

They may or may not have business or political connections with each other, but simply from the football side I could see why. Chansiri criticised KP for the way they ran LCFC, just before we won the league. Must have been hugely embarrassing.

Article from March 2015

https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/latest-owls-news/chansiri-will-not-be-outfoxed-in-owls-premier-league-bid-1823341

“With regards to Leicester, we know of him (Srivaddhanaprabha),” said Chansiri in response to an enquiry from The Yorkshire Post. “But I am not close to him.

“And we believe that our philosophy of how to run the football club will be a bit different from how they have been doing it.

“We want to do it in a smart and sustainable manner. There needs to be some investment but just throwing money at a club is not a guarantee of success.

In fairness, nobody can accuse Chansiri of throwing money at Sheffield Wednesday

Man City u23.

York.

Mansfield.

That's their pre-season they've had.

The latest one vs Mansfield being on 26th July.

Even with the off field issues, that's a terrible preparation for a gruelling and lengthy Championship season with a thin/thinning squad.

If we don't win on Sunday we might as well call it quits.

How many of your fans do you think will take part in the late entry?

Dunno hopefully most. There are a bunch that don't like the SWFC trust and don't want to protest. I don't know how many but online they appear a vocal minority.

FWIW, sorry for what’s happening to your club. Must absolutely stink as fans, staff and players. All the rules for PSR and Owner Tests and this happens in front of everyone to one of the oldest clubs in the world. Makes a mockery of the whole system really.

That said, I hope we beat you on Sunday 😆

I fully support the planned protests, but really hope that the Wednesday fans that are planning to interrupt the game with ref whistles/fireworks, do it while the ball is out of play and not while LCFC are attacking. Or a lot of goodwill could be lost.
