Popular Post Jazzy_Jeff Posted 22 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 22 August 2025 That’s a great price for a player who is 4th choice at best in his position. Lets get Bilal deal done, Faes, Daka and Winks off the books and give our squad the refresh it desperately needs. 6
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 I think the club always had one eye on selling Kasey to be honest, I said at the beginning of the window the fact he’s pure profit will be too tempting for a team needing to recoup fee’s.
Dickov22 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 What on earth are Ipswich doing 😂 Great biz from us for once. He’s terrible 1
Iwebema Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Great deal money wise for a player I think we all know isn't technically good enough at this level. My only minor counter is, hes one of the players that actually tries and I think may be a negative loss in the dressing room. But you cant argue with 12m of pure profit for a limited squad player.
Popular Post bovril Posted 22 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 22 August 2025 Unpopular opinion by the looks of it but I am a little sorry he's going. Local lad who showed a lot of promise and seems like a good character. Like, really a good character, not a Conor Coady "good guy to have in the dressing room" type. But, 12 million quid.... 12 1
Ian Nacho Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Are we missing something? Multiple clubs wanting to pay upwards of £10m.
pmcla26 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Shame to see him go as I think he'll develop into a Premier League standard winger but it's decent money for him. Surely will be able to buy a couple after this and BEK go through.
Popular Post Devonfox1884 Posted 22 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 22 August 2025 (edited) Well done to all involved in the academy, things like this will make a massive difference to us going forwards. Also a thank you and good luck to Kasey, not one bad thing to say about him. Edited 22 August 2025 by Devonfox1884 7
Foxin_Mad Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Kasey was the least of the teams problems when we still have stinking turds like Faes, Winks, Vesty, Soumare that simply wont flush away. 1

Tempo setter from a pressing perspective attracts a lot of interest. Lesson to learn for a lot of young lads wanting to make a career in the game.

Not the point. He's 4th choice in his position and can't play in any others. Shift him, and use the funds to sort the actual problems.
Brizzle Fox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 I wonder if they need a fantastic utility player with great hair, who is a superstar in the country he represents at international level? £20m maybe?
FrankieADZ Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 what a deal that is for us, McAteer aint worth that in a month of sundays
AKCJ Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Fair play. I do think he's a very useful player to have and his attitude is absolutely spot on. But £12m surely either releases the pressure on selling Bilal or can be reinvested into a first team option. I wish Kasey all the best at Ipswich. I will miss the lad. 3
Tuna Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Interesting that McKenna sees something in him that we, evidently, do not.

But no one is in for them. So the options we have are keep playing them, or make funds available from elsewhere and bring replacements in and stop playing them. I know what I'd rather do!

I think he'll flourish in a more 'Nigel Pearson' type dressing room. He's undoubtedly a very hard worker and a genuinely top finisher. I can see Ipswich getting their money's worth. 4
Simonb Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 12m? Incredible. Surely makes Abdul.worth about 300m
ousefox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Has anybody got a link to their forum? Would love to see what they're saying about this.
VLC86 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Belter of a deal that He’ll have a decent career but we can’t turn that down.
