Too many on here forgetting we wouldn’t pay £2.5m for Kone.

No chance we spend the 10m I’d expect it to take to get him, as much as he’s a very promising centre forward

Kone has scored 1 league goal since January. We might be willing to spend money on someone who's more clearly worth it.

Has there not been multiple pieces of information to suggest we was never interested in Kone?

I think the second tier douchbags had a segment on young player of the year and they were suggesting it would be this guy. Obviously they hadn’t heard of monga yet but promising none the less

We won’t be spending what it would take to sign a player like this. Maybe a free or loan or two but this is far too ambitious.

Don’t get your hopes up guys.

We’re linked with a player who isn’t a free agent:jawdrop: Get him in just on the basis he isn’t one of the current bunch of pricks in our squad.

FLW's source is journalist, Pete O'Rourke - has he any reputation for reliability?

IF true (a big if), I'd say this is a promising rumour.

None at all.

He's linked us to about fifty people this window alone.

Physical, aerial presence and one of the strikers in the Championship with the most potential.

But he’s been linked to better clubs for fees in the region of £10 million plus.

Therefore, #WelcomePatrickBamford

Would take Bamford on a season long loan in addition to this signing.

Not going to happen. 14 years too young for Rudkin’s Dads Army Retirement Squad. Close thread.

I really hope this rumour is true, shame it’s come from such a shit source.

He’s 6 ft 3 but fast and powerful, he can hold the ball up and very good technically, he’s an aerial presence and knows how to finish. Add to all that he’s 20 years old and has so much potential resale value.

£6m/£7m with add ons would surely get it done.

sounds exactly like Patrick Ageymang. Except he was a bit taller :)

Big soviet bastard.

Get him in

I hate to be that guy, but if anything he'd be Yugoslav, as he was born it what remained of Yugoslavia before it fully dissolved into Serbia and Macedonia in 2006.
