Faes is a problem and makes too many mistakes, but at least he does contribute the odd game.

Faes needs to go from both a wages and attitude perspective.  He’s not as bad a defender as some make out but is stinking the place out.

I'll only celebrate once we get some players in to replace this lot.  At the moment, it is impossible to do so as I have no confidence in us getting in adequate replacements.

This is true, and I'd even go as far as to argue Faes, in spite of his many many faults and moments of madness in games, is still our strongest defender, which shows how bad the rest are. 

 

However we won't be getting in better until we clear the ones we have, and that's especially true with the higher earners, we need to get them off our books.

 

So if we have to weaken to ultimately improve it may be a necessary evil right now, even if we seem thin in some areas.

We’ll still be covering his wages for the duration of his contract, unless we settle on it prior to his departure.

I don’t care if he is the championships answer to Virgil Van Dijk. He needs to move on and we need to move on. His approach on the pitch when the going gets tough makes him a liability, see the reaction just last Saturday. Too many times he drops those hands and turns away.

True he doesn't do a lot tbf but least he is not having it out with the fans or saying he wants out to the press plus he seems like a team player at least.

Nah, just get em out! Don’t care about signings. Sooner get rid of the poison, hopefully stay in the Division with youth and those that really want to be here and rebuild again. Sod the Premier League, it really isn’t all that.

After what McAteer went for, who knows. He is a Belgian international - might squeeze £10m out of them. They paid €9m for Ndidi with only a year left on his contract.

If they get rid of all these players with a horrific attitude on inflated wages then I absolutely will get behind the kids, replacements or whatever, even if it means a relegation fight. Taking a couple of steps back to make amends is absolutely fine with me.

If I can wake up on a Saturday and knowing 100% Leicester won't be starting a CB pairing of Faes and Vestergaard, I'm happy.

 

I was listening to a podcast today and they mentioned that in the book Soccernomics it says blonde players get scouted more because they stand out, I feel Faes has built a career out of his hair standing out, it's ashame he's nothing on Campo, Puyol or Luiz.

Never understood why BR signed him in the first place when we already had Soyuncu who was a revelation following Maguires departure to Utd. Clearly politics from BR’s POV which ultimately saw Cags wind down his contract and if we’re not careful it’ll happen with Sideshow Bob as well. £10m at this stage of things would represent good business, although, whoever engineered Kasey’s sale might wanna be involved in that as £12m upfront is good business. 
 

Is the moving on of all these players a sign of the times? I think we us fans need to be realistic that we are not going to be anywhere near where we want to be come May because once again poor judgement and mismanagement at the highest level have cost us dearly with their inability to sustain the team and be able to bring in the right players for the right money. 

 

In the last 3 seasons we’ve made £80m in sales of academy players, plus larger sums for Maddison and Hermansen and are still in the muck…….🫣
