You just know that loan deal is going to be even more bulletproof than Edouard.

We will be stuck with him as we never learn.

Key difference is that the Ed situation meant we couldn't loan anyone else in because we were under Prem loan rules and at our limit. We can at least still get players in on loan even if we can't shift carranza.

not many people want to loan out players like that. They want to keep them.

our best bet is likely to be a young lad from a big club..

Roma sending Evan Ferguson back to Brighton in January.

Could he be the answer on a loan deal? Not sure what’s happened to him as he was touted as a future super star just a couple of years back

I think what's happened is that he's been massively overhyped thanks to a decent mini spree in his opening set of games for Brightons first team.  And after that, nothing.  Injuries and blanks.  His record alone looks pretty tragic to be honest.  I still wouldn't be averse to a loan though.

Won't hack the physicality of the championship. We need a striker who can play 2x a week and without a long injury history.

What are the rules regarding loans? I feel like, ro get anything out of this season, we need to do what Forest did. Roll the dice, max out loans and kick the recruitment problem can down the road.

We have a decent strike rate with loan players, recently.

Max of five in the match day squad. Otherwise that's more or less it beyond some small caveats.

Are we allowed to loan Brighton players now - have they forgiven us for messing around with Facundo?

That said, we’ve had reported interest in Evan before, so if he is available I imagine we’d have another look.

He scored two goals in the Europa League last night. Roma will either keep him or he'll go to a PL club.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he actually gets recalled to be an option for Brighton now Tzimas is out for most of the season

Keepers - fine

Rb - fine for now but upgrade needed in summer

Lb - sell/loan Kristiansen and bring in a new LB

Cb - ditch Faes but fine once we get Okoli and Souttar back.

Cm - possibly the most desperate area as we need to ditch Winks and Soumare

CAM - need as question marks over Ramsey.

LW/RW - would like us to sign someone who could cover both wings as competition for Fatawu and Mavididi.

CF - desperate. We don't a single one that is any good.

We need at least 5 players but I bet we'll be lucky to get 1.

Goal scorers are at a premium in every league so I don't expect a team who has one to part with him cheaply.

Realistically we’re not doing any business, but should look to move on those who are out of contract in the summer anyway for whatever we can get and promote from within; Soumaré, Winks & Daka (and Faes).

Stolarczyk / Begovic / Vieites

Ricardo / Aluko

Nelson / Okoli

Vestergaard / Souttar

Thomas / Kristiansen

Skipp / Hamza

James / Page

BDCR / Ramsey

Fatawu / S Thomas

Ayew / Carranza (or Antonio?) / Evans

Mavididi / Monga

Might be worth asking about Boadu.  Contract expires in the summer, though PSV hold an option for a further year. But he cost them nothing and he's barely played for them.  His career has gone really up and down.  Excellent for AZ, didn't make it at Monaco but in fairness has a respectable record given the minutes he was given.  Excellent record again for Bochum in the Bundesliga and then off to PSV to sort of repeat the Monaco type of situation.

Only thing is he's not an all round striker, but given his situation I'd have thought PSV would be keen on loaning with a view to selling given he cost nothing and isn't playing.  And given our situation we need to be trying something.
