gonna hedge my bets and state he's a 'high 8'

quality player though already, at 17.

sod sending him on loan, this season is a write off get him some meaningful time in the team

Basically what he’s already playing. Seen a lot of discourse about James’ best role, the truth is he’s still playing in the same areas right now as was when he was playing “as a 10” - that inside right position, the half space as the tactics/coaches would call it these days. Very little difference between the two in our system.

If only we had a 9 !

he impacts the game more than monga currently.

Nelson needs to toughen up over this season and next which is natural for his age at centre half. if we lose Monga we need to get some players and cash in return i think. hopefully theres a bidding war and we can get a couple of man city or chelsea youngsters. Anyone for Heskey Jr leading the line?

From watching Nelson these last few games it’s clear to see that he is learning and his confidence is growing. I think he’ll be great for us. And let’s remind ourselves he’s only 21.

100% agree with you with regards his impact. It’s mad that he’s only 17!

For me, I think Page is the best of our current academy players who are involved with the first team.

Yes he seems to have the most confidence. Even taking all the corners. Very nearly got an assist for Vestergaard but for a very good save

I may have said this before but Page (like Nelson) glides around the pitch. He always manages to find space and he always looks calm and composed. Will be a top talent. I hope he rises along with us because he’ll be deserve better pretty quickly.

Has all the time in the world on the ball, which in midfield shows a class player, he needs to play now.

An incredible quality to have. When a player looks like he has loads of time on the ball you know they're a class act. I've been run off the park by good uni footballers. I can't imagine how much less time you have with actual professionals chasing you around lol

Looks like he will become a class act. One thing for sure and what I like even as a young lad he's always in a position to receive the ball. He always demands for it too but sometimes never gets it. Promising signs.

Wont take too long for one knob ead on here to start him a thread of hate

For not being perfect.

Give it  about a week.

Definitely the pick of the bunch for me also.  Great work from the youth setup to develop a generation of talent. It's nice to see the young guns mixing it.

Are they the same owners, developing a generation of talent, as those that couldn’t organise a night in a brewery?

This will fan only such flames, so maybe don't even give it oxygen?

I hadn't realised until watching this he's left footed 👍🏼

I'm hoping that's sarcastic or you just haven't seen him play? If there's one thing that might hold him back on current showings, it's that he's incredibly one footed (left footed to be clear! :D)
