Exactly, the football is absolutely dire and can't come close to making up for any of the individual mistakes we are so prone to

Yep, even if we'd have won 1-0, it was a turgid performance. We looked slightly better defensively until the end but going forward we are just crap. Teams have worked out that if they take Fatawu out the game, we have no other threat. The strikers we have are so poor and aside from not scoring any goals (I know ayew scored a pen), they don't offer any threat to opposition defences. Even when Vardy didn't score, he always caused problems and pulled defenders away to create space for others. Carranza always seems to be in the wrong place and the wrong time as well as being weak and slow. Daka can't control the ball, can't score and falls over a lot. Ayew slows down our attacking play and ends up sending the ball back to vestergaard when we are starting a counter attack. There is zero chance we can have any kind of a half decent season with those strikers.

Well Boro were 2nd in the table before tonight, down to 3rd.  The standard aint high.

I thought he was talking about the Leicester squad?

Why do people Keep saying the squad are better than what hes getting out of them?

Cooper, RVN now Marti… no major changes to squad. Not hard to see where the problem sits.

He started off bringing some youth through but has regressed to picking the same old shit which makes you question who’s really pulling the strings.

I'm thinking at half time he's going to put on Mavidivi and go for a second goal, or at least make changes early in the 2nd half to impact the game. Nope. Too complacent to be okay with one goal, which is a major theme with Marti. When you have a team on the ropes you need to bury the game, come out of the gate swinging, high tempo getting the crowd behind you. Football is a game of momentum, use it Marti! Instead we get overly pessimistic defensive football trying to hold on to a lead at home. I'd rather lose going for the game, pushing for a second goal and imposing our style of play on the game. But I couldn't honestly tell you what that style is.

That's a stretch

Kinda meant like with a manager who is actually competent could get this squad up there. Like if Enzo was manager we’d be up there

That's all he can do, but I don't see anyone buying Daka, Soumare or Winks in January when they're leaving on a free in the summer.

Maybe we can hope Faes and VK are sold in January, that would be a start.

Loan moves is about the only hope but probably unlikely. Faes, Kristiansen and Vestergaard have a World Cup and contracts beyond the summer so they maybe more open to hopefully being got shot of.

That was a painful watch, no real patterns of play and very little attacking intent, didn’t lay a glove on them 2nd half when you would hope we could have really counter attacked them  and at least created a few chances. Got exactly what we deserved at the end.

One win in 10 for a team with aspirations of promotion and performances are tanking, regardless of who’s to blame, or any other reasons that are going on in the background, I will be hugely shocked if he is still in post by the end of the weekend.

Can somebody explain to me what his tactics are, because so far, I have failed to detect any.

Guy just shows up with a "manager" tag on his club attire, sits or stands in the dugout and gets paid handsomely to play bland football.

Cifuentes is bereft of any personality and/or clue, and it shows on the pitch.

He doesn't want to be here. And we desperately need a manager that can instill confidence.

It's not about the quality of the squad in a vacuum, it's the quality in relation to the league

This is not the 13th best squad in the league

The quality in the Championship this season is ****ing dire and we are still stinking it up every week

37% possession and only 2 shots on target in a home game is a disgrace for a squad with the highest wage bill in the league

No good free agent managers that I can see coming to us (or honestly, just generally). No money and total shitshow means no chance we attract somebody from another club (see: some Southampton fans deluding themselves that Lampard will leave Coventry for them). No nous left at the board level to pluck a relative unknown that will make things happen. Not an easy position for us and it's 100% self-inflicted.

Not to mention I have no idea if we even have the money to fire him - I'm sure that the money he was owed by QPR that he paid himself will be coming back to him in some way.

Would we? Things had gone South towards the end of Maresca's time with us an he had a far better squad.

Maybe a better manager doesnt even contemplate the likes of Carranza and Ayew but I just cant even imagine what a decent starting XI would look like for us.

You could be describing any of our games

Actually felt quite sorry for him at the end. Looked like he was about to cry.

Then I remembered that I’m this club’s number one hater.

He’s honking, get rid.

My depressive argument that it’s pointless to sack him because we are ****ed anyway is probably now dead.

Yes our squad is shite, but it’s not 1 win in 10 shite.

Some boro fans on twitter saying we are the worst team they have played this season. I can’t argue with that

seriously think we are going down with the points deduction

What he said when he first came in was absolutely rubbish. He said he didn't want his team to settle for 1 goal, wanted to go for 2,3 and 4. Absolutely lie.
