We are revolting, but disagree with the rest. I have not been impressed with one team we’ve played this year. Even all I could say about cov was they were organised and pressed well.

Preston, Hull and Blackburn all looked far better than us. Could and should have beaten us by 4 or 5 each.

Glad we got the points but let's not pretend that for large parts of that, we weren't average at best. Players like Thomas constantly killing off any attacking momentum as soon as they get the ball is a massive problem. Bar a couple, nobody is willing to take a man on.

Is this because off the managers instructions or do you think it’s the players themselves

What was with the police presence today, thought the second coming of Millwall had turned up when I walked down Filbert Way

Are Stoke (historically) handy?

Yes they are Naughty 40 had a few run ins with Baby Squad over the years

I think its been a trend of these players through several managers now. Lack of confidence? Lack of ability? Genuinely I have no idea.

Just in case someone criticized the board or Top.

We did enough but are not convincing. Thankfully Begovic and Mavididi in particular stepped up. It is about staying clear of the bottom three right now as the points deduction looms.

We were defending a lead. It made sense.

Totally agree.

....and well before. The walk (run) back to the station was interesting. As was the bricking the football special got.

I didn’t watch any of today’s match but it sounds like it followed a familiar pattern, I find it fascinating how there can be no coherent style. Surely after training all week there would be some patterns of play and some joined up plan but nope.

I expected a thoroughly mediocre season because we are a shit show, I didn’t expect one because the manager seemly has no clue how to get us out of second gear.

Im amazed how many fans think the players are above mediocre.

Who saw that defence on paper today and thought ‘wow, that’s a good defence’ or up top, ‘there’s a top end striker’?

I can give you at least three - Rudkin, Rodgers, Congerton, since they were the clowns that brought them with the fond hope of improving a Premier League team that was chasing Champion's League football.

How can you comment if you haven't seen any of the game. I find ignorance like this incredible.

Ricardo is comfortably the best full back in this league. Vestergaard and Faes are both international centre backs who are good enough for this level but unfortunately can be prone to mistakes. Thomas is crap as are our strikers.

I don't think our fans necessarily overrate our players, I just think alot don't fully understand how horrifically bad the standard is at this level. Stoke are 3rd and other than Johansson, Phillips and Mubama (two of which aren't actually their players), none of them get in our team. Its not saying we're good, it's just people need to understand this league is absolutely shite!

I know we didn’t play well but I found the game really entertaining. Proper needle at times, good to see our lads putting a big of fight in. Daka, rightly gets a lot of stick, but put a real shift in (complete with missing that chance second half). Ref was poor - inconsistent decisions throughout, even when Bego was time wasting!

It has been a trend for quite a while now... I honestly believe that the team lacks confidence in itself & as the second half progresses you can see the team become more concerned with losing rather than thinking about winning.

We’ve got players who are genuinely above this level, and while the wages have created a bit of imbalance in the squad, there’s still more than enough quality to perform well versus mediocre opposition.

Some or most of these players may move on at the end of the season, which is exactly why this year is important for us. Even with the deduction, a playoff push is within reach if we get things right on the pitch.

FFP means we can’t throw money at the issue (if we dont go up) even if the club wanted to, but that also forces the board to be smarter, build properly, and avoid repeating old mistakes. Otherwise itll be a return to the mediocre Levein style days.

Probably the best result of the season to be honest against what have been a relatively decent team so far. I'd be lying if I said I was at all convinced by us though, think variance is a thing and we were the right side of it. Don't think we're going to consistently get good results playing that way. But it's a win I guess.
