I haven’t been more behind a bloke for a long long time - love his honesty - love his passion - he might not be pep but for our current situation and instilling some belief and hope and attitude I don’t think we could have hoped for much more - Saturday is big don’t get me wrong - I really really hope they do him and us proud

Footballing, and always been, meat and potatoes at heart.

 

I think we've suffered from managers who are too invested in their philosophies and who bypass some of the basics in the game (fitness & effort, tackling hard, fighting for the ball, making yourself available for a pass, etc).

He might not be the long term future and he might be a limited manager...but we are a limited team right now and I think we've needed someone like him to start the change.

 

I dont think ive been this "fully behind" a manager since enzo, even if it is just a short term thing.

I dont know why people keep  saying we've above him,we're  a poorly run mid to lower championship side and he is just what we need .Whether  he keeps us up or not he deserves  a chance to build something. .

I think there is always a danger of writing new managers off too early and also building them up prematurely. Not surprising given the fickle nature of football fans.

 

I usually like to give managers a bit of time. I’m never at the front of the queue to demand their sacking but I’m also wary of getting excited too early.

If someone had told me 2 years ago we’d be appointing Gary Rowett as manager I would have wondered where our club had gone. Even at the start of this season I would have seriously questioned our ambition.The new reality, however, is we are a poor, relegation threatened, Championship club with an unbalanced squad and no money. It doesn’t exactly make us an attractive proposition. Rowett’s a pragmatic choice amongst limited options.

If Rowett keeps us up and gets some commitment and passion back into the team, it’s all we need right now. The short term brief is a simple one. But I think I’ll wait to see if he can actually win any games before I decide whether he’s the answer

If he keeps us up imo he deserves a summer window at least surely?? Not many people wanted Pearson all those years ago look what happened rowett may be the one to rebuild us 🤷‍♂️

He is exactly what we need right now and it's been a few managers since we could say that. That first win and dare I say it first clean sheet is going to hit like crack.
